Best burgers and fries you could find. We drive back and fourth to Lamont from Bakersfield specifically to come here. There’s never been an order we’ve not been satisfied with. The only downside is sometimes it does get busy but because the food is so good it’s understandable. The picture posted is my goto and never disappoints. I sometimes add bacon and is the best bacon I’ve ever had.
I always get the #7 which is the avocado burger and they never let me down it's always super delicious & the fries are the best! I also love that they still have the old-school look and haven’t remodeled it like some other fast food chains .
First time at this Root Beer King. I always go to the one in Bakersfield since it’s close to home, but I felt like going for a little drive and decided to come here. I was expecting to go through the drive thru, but it doesn’t have one, so I’m inside eating my Ortega burger combo. It’s nice and cool in here and I can feel the cool air. The decor is retro 1950’s.
Very very good, taste is amazing and atmosphere is Amazing. I wish the sandwiches were a bit bigger
This has been one of my favorite places since my first visit in 2008. This was a place my family frequented while living in the area before moving out of California in 1971. Decent food, service and prices. I’ll not make a 1,600 mile trip to California without stopping in at least once.
Long time standing ...excellent food the nostalgic look inside and out.. been going to this place for many many years .hope it never closes like the others I grew up with
Love this place best time to go is on weekdays during lunch don't go at night the food is usually sloppy. I love how they fry the buns with mustard then top it off with seasoned salt.
Been coming here for almost 3 decades now. Their burgers and fries are the best
