Man this place is awesome! Occasional like to find out of the way family run restaurants, and this one was an awesome find. Walked in, immediately greeted by the staff, and seated. Pretty simple menu of comfort foods. I had the cheeseburger, and my wife had the butterfly shrimp. Killer fried okra. The service was simply incredible. The food was even better than the service. Just a local little place out of the way that you have to go. One of the best finds yet.

I live in Franklin and have been meaning to come here for a while now and finally did today. It was everything I hoped for and more. Wonderful welcoming staff, very attentive with our drink refills and checking on us. The food was amazing home cooking at its finest! Plentiful plate full and the choices were some favorites of mine one being the fried green tomatoes! Thanks for being a great family business in Franklin ! Will definitely be back!

My first time eating here. I heard about this place from a friend of mine. I had fried whole catfish and it was excellent. They also have fillets. The staff were very friendly. The pricing and portions are great. They are only open Friday, Saturday and Sunday. They have a big Sunday dinner with different items each week, call and ask what's on the menu. Definitely will be going back.

Im new to Georgia and live in Franklin! After reading all the wonderful reviews I had to see if the food was as good as it looked. When we pulled up and I seen a small white house for the restaurant, I told my sister we are going to eat some delicious food in here. We'll we were not disappointed at all. We walked into a friendly greeting and was seated right away. Everything looked so good it was hard to decide. Our portions were hearty, the food was seasoned perfect and absolutely delicious!! The young ladies waiting on us was very attentive to us. When leaving we were treated a free banana pudding which was delicious. We became engaged in a wonderful long conversation with the owner about the history of the restaurant. We will both be back to try other food on the menu. Maybe the fish!! If you haven't eaten here yet, you should do yourself a favor and stop in. Your treated like family and a home cooked meal! See yall soon!!

I can't say enough good things about this place. The food is amazing ! We go whenever possible but you better have your appetite when you go. The staff bends over backwards to make you feel welcomed. You won't be sorry if you love good ole southern cooking. Portions are over the top! I'm already planning by next trip.

I found Rutledge Cafe quite by accident from checking and studying Google Maps. It’s a simple pleasure of mine: finding out of the way places to eat on the backroads of Georgia. I noticed this place and from street view I figured it was just my kind of place. Not fancy, just a promise of good food. My buddy and I went on motorcycles the first time and I’m here to tell you we were not disappointed. We both had catfish with sides of Cole slaw, fried green tomatoes, hush puppies and French fries. There are other sides but this is what we settled on. It was a feast beyond belief. The absolute best catfish I’ve ever eaten and the sides were top notch. Their menu has other great meals including meat loaf, chicken livers and fried chicken. The portions were big and the price was very reasonable and the service was excellent. As good as all this was it came in second to the people and staff that run this cafe. They make you feel like you’ve walked in the back door at your grand mommas house just in time for dinner. They are all smiles, chatty and make you feel like they’ve know you since you were born. Please, give this place and the people who work here a try. You won’t be disappointed either and you’ll become just like me…….. a regular customer at Rutledge Cafe.

Beware they're only open Friday Saturday and Sunday if I live close by id eat here everyday lol Delicious food.. omg.. I called and placed a to-go order because I was at a barrel race about 2 mi away this is some really good food honestly if I live close by I would here everyday. I don't cook I eat out everyday literally this is probably one of the best meals I've had in months! They do have the best macaroni and cheese anywhere. It might even be better than my own lol. Pork chops delicious catfish fillet delicious coleslaw delicious Hush Puppies delicious... man this is some good food!
