Myself and 3 other friends had lunch today at the Hut, we were pleased with the friendly service from the greeter at the counter uppn enteing the restaurant, and service from the wait staff. The food was great, temperature ready as it was brought to the table. The wait staff checked on us thought out our meal, very prefessional demeanor, and with a pleasant smile and attitude.
Great cheeseburger and classic krinkle fries. My daughter got a BBQ pork sandwich which had great sauce, but had a lot of cartilage in the sandwich. Could have been an off day. Would not recommend the Mac and cheese she got, either. Breakfast place mainly with a good cheeseburger and meat and 2.
To the people bad talking this place. ... nothing is perfect but Jesus. Saying that I do believe these people care and do thier best. The reason people complain is because this place is so good it gets busy from time to time. Im not kissing thier butt, im praising the great job The Hut does for our great community ,in this great country ,under our great God.
We love eating at The Hut the staff are super nice. The Hut has lunch specials a salad bar and some great food .If the tables are full and the bar top is full just hang out a spell and seats will be available soon or even sometimes when the tables have just a few some of the folks will say come on sit a spell it's always great to be and come from small towns .
Considering this is one of maybe 3 total dine-in, not fast food restaurants in town, it ranks higher than it would if the comparison was being made in a larger city. That being said, the food is (mostly) genuinely decent. I have my favorites to be sure (BBQ, chicken fried steak, & the breakfast items are good). I have also had a couple things I will not ever get again (READ: Most notably, the greasy, stomach turning burgers. Vile.) There are servers who are wonderful, some with personality deficits that come off across as horrible rude & one in particular who has not learned to use perfume in an area where others are consuming food--bring a gas mask. The place is usually quite busy. There is ample parking. The atmosphere is lackluster, but it is fine for what it is. Bathrooms are usually clean enough to use without feeling disgusted. Prices are reasonable. It's worth a night or two per month without having to do dishes at home.
This place is a little sketch. The pulled pork sandwich though is one of the best ever. The ranch is amazing. The fries were pretty good. The corn fritters and okra were also good. That’s all I can really say for now but I will be back to try it again. The atmosphere is very old and could use a facelift.
The food was very very good. Pontiac,mi was in the house.Visiting my family the Peete's&William's. Thks to my Aunt's Dorthy&Brenda &my uncle Robert,my cuz Bobby the great.....
The Hut was great when we ate there on a Wednesday night. I got their cheeseburger and fries and I loved it. It reminded me of the ones I got when I was a kid, and the fries were crinkle cut like back then, also. Service was fast. They do seem to have different people working each time I go and I have gotten bad service before but this time everything was great. Thanks for the good food!
BBQ place under the category of American. Great bbq sandwiches but also bbq nachos, pig salad, bbq quesadillas, bbq stuffed potatoes and the good ole bbq plate. The other menu items are excellent and the place also has a good reputation for its lunch specials and a Sunday meat plus three buffet. Enjoy.
We eat here occasionally when we have something to do in somerville. Good and fast service, good food, and the best thing is the fact that it looks like a 1950s restaurant. They have breakfast and a pretty good lunch and I believe at some point they serve some pretty tasty vegetables. What they serve depends on the time of the day.
