My wife and I just ate here for the first time. We both loved it. Can't believe we haven't been here before. It's been here in one form of another as long as I can remember. I had the pork tenderloin "sandwich" it's listed with the two other open face plates. Comes with mashed potatoes and brown gravy and choice if soup or salad. My wife had the beefeater, comes with fries and choice if soup or salad. I tried it and i will be getting it next time. Again, as usual I forgot pics until we were eating. The chicken soup was very good. Yes, it's similar to all the great little diners in Illinois, but each has something different to offer. Give this place a try.
6 There for breakfast. All of us had similar but different meals. All said their choices were very good to great including eggs benedict, biscuits and gravy, eggs over, ham n bacon as well as the toast n biscuits. Will easily go back. Place decorated well. Clean. Nice mural on wall. Bathrooms very clean even.
Older restaurant. Average American fare. Good service. Somewhat limited menu. We had a late breakfast, so they weren't very busy.
Stumbled onto this little gem today... My wife and another couple golfed today and went to Gibson to find lunch. Ended up here... service was AWESOME! nice people, attentive, fast all around great! My wife had the chicken Cobb salad. Um? Huge doesn't describe it! We will be eating on it most of the week! Huge and delicious! I had the fried chicken and I can't say enough about it. Hot, juicy, crispy, DELICIOUS!!! This place is worth the drive or if you're in Gibson City I highly recommend it. We will be back!
An adorable classic Americana restaurant. They have a beautiful mural that really contributes to the atmosphere. Great, friendly service and delicious food!
This food was so good and it was only $12! I was passing through the area and decided to stop off for some breakfast. Such a beautiful part of the world and such a delightful meal. I will definitely return if I am ever in the area.
A favorite with the locals. Most were known well by the staff and must be regulars. Great food, friendly and attentive staff. Decor is a bit dated, but not a big deal to me.
We love this place. Great prices with good food. The portions are generous too.
