Golden City Pelham

We ordered to go & they were very nice when they took our order over the phone. Food was ready on time and hot! I got the beef in garlic sauce, I’d say it was 60% veggies, 40% beef. The sauce was very good! However, I don’t think the beef stood a chance on its own. It didn’t taste like it had much seasoning without the sauce on it. It was tender, but I had a lot of pieces with the tendon in it? When covered in sauce, it was difficult to see I was about to bite into that. The orange chicken was very tasty! Sticky, flavorful & a generous amount. Fried rice (& I’m a fried rice fanatic from Hawaii) was a 3/5. Mainly rice, a small piece of egg here or there but nothing else. Crab wontons had the perfect amount of filling & perfectly crispy!

I cannot express the gratitude that my heart feels for Golden City! It was our first time coming in, even though we have passed by it for years while coming into town to see family. The restaurant was so busy with take out orders and people dining in, the phone was ringing off of the hook and people kept coming in — and the precious, beautiful staff could not have been any kinder!!!! Or serve with larger hearts. And it was so DELICIOUS!!!! They served us with such kindness, care and intentionality as we brought our 6 month old in as well. They treated us and I can assure you every other customer like royalty! It was such a privilege to dine there… And all while getting to experience it on Christmas Day, what a gift! We cannot wait to come back, thank you Golden City You guys are special.

The food is very delicious and fresh every time. Been coming here for a year now, and will continue as much as I can. Their hot and sour soup is very good and the only thing my husband will eat when he’s sick the restaurant is very clean, and the service is amazing. Everything is very prompt too when you take out or order in. They also have really really good sushi!!

My husband and I decided to get the takeout for a birthday dinner. This was our first time eating from Golden City and the food was beyond expectations. Our order consisted of egg rolls, hot and sour soup, sweet & sour chicken, and orange chicken (both chicken enters came with fried rice). The portions were large enough that we have had two meals (each) and still some leftover. The hot & sour soup was made perfectly, unlike some that we've gotten from other places. The chicken bites were cooked just right, not undercooked but not over cooked and rubbery. Golden City will definitely be our go-to place for Asian food from now on. *I ordered the to go plates in person and noticed how clean the restaurant was even though it was not long after they had been packed out at lunch. The person who took my order was very friendly and answered my questions without getting frustrated. Excellent service!

My usual favorite Chinese spot was not open so I decided to try this little place in Pelham. Went in to order take out. Very friendly staff and the restaurant itself was clean and open. My test for any new Chinese restaurant is Mongolian beef. They knocked it out of the park. Tender flank steak with a solid hint of red pepper and onions. Excellent. I now have a new favorite.

Great place to eat! The place was so clean and smelled nice. The people were kind and attentive without being overbearing. The food was amazing!!! This is now our new favorite! We will absolutely recommend this place to all our friends. Top quality restaurant! 10/10 recommend!

Golden City is quickly becoming our go-to spot for great Asian cuisine. Regardless of the time of day or the day of the week, the food is fresh, hot and tasty. The staff is welcoming and they make sure you have a pleasant meal experience. I highly recommend Golden City.

Hands down the best Chinese food I’ve ever had. I have been ordering here for a little over 2 years now and it has never disappointed me and my family! We placed an order during the Christmas rush hour and they were very busy and they got our food ready in 30 minutes!
