We got caught in a snow storm and managed to pull into Haskells in near white out conditions. We're not from the area, and after listening to the radio for a bit it seemed like we wouldn't be able to travel much the rest of the day. I headed inside to ask about any hotels or motels in the area, and everyone was so nice! Pretty much everyone in the place began helping me look for nearby AirBnBs, or contact people they knew who owned AirBnBs. We were eventually able to find a place for the night with everyone's help, and it was honestly a great experience!
This place was a stop on a poker run I was a part of- they put out an amazing spread for us to help ourselves to, great service, lots of parking, biker friendly, outside picnic tables, plenty of room inside. Thank you!!!!
Got a burger with mushrooms on my way home to VT from Utica. It was good. $15. Water was a dollar. 20-25 minute wait despite (or due to?) being the only person ordering food (around 2:30 pm). There was a small crowd at the bar, everyone seemed like family.
We loved this place (wife and kids) the food was great, the wings were the best flavored everything wings we ever had, these places are always like the best (hole in the wall places)!! Highly recommend
Walk in their feels like a small town community. The food is wonderful the staff was great. IF you are in the area please stop at this place. We had a variety of food and I have two very picky kids and they love their chicken finger dinner. Its not a fancy place but the food is a 5 star. Which is rare from me as a reviewer. Their gravy is the best. Thank you for making our stay wonderful .
Riding my Harley from Buffalo to VT and stumbled across this place in the middle of NOWHERE! It was past lunch and we were starving. Only a few vehicles in the parking lot, and from the outside the place didn't look like much, but we were hungry and gave it a try. Glad we did! Mixed drinks were very reasonably priced, and the burger with sautéed mushrooms was . We had 2 burgers with fries, 1 beer and 2 mixed drinks for 50 bucks. Not bad in my opinion. Bartender was friendly as well.
Came across this place on a road trip. Great food and great people. Highlight of our trip!
Our car broke down and thank God we stopped at this place, while waiting for the tow truck, my family and I (wife and four kids) eat our lunch there and the food was great. The servings are huge that my kids shared their food. I went with the tow truck to the shop (25 miles away), while waiting for the car to get fix. Andrea one of the owner decided to take my wife and four kids down to the auto shop. We are grateful for the gesture as we even tried to get an Uber to go down to the auto shop. This truly a Christmas miracle.
