We stopped in at Spikehorn and had a great overall experience. Tiffany our server was attentive and friendly. We started with the chicken enchilada soup, which was flavorful and comforting. It came with both bread and tortillas, which was a nice touch. My wife had the broasted chicken, and it was excellent. The skin was perfectly crisp and the meat stayed juicy and tender. We also tried the ribs, which had good flavor and were nicely cooked. The wet burrito was a standout, filled with seasoned ground beef, topped with enchilada sauce, and served with a side of Spanish rice. Classic and satisfying. We ordered mozzarella sticks too. They were pretty typical bar-style, but still enjoyable. The atmosphere is bar like, casual and a bit loud, with a full service bar and a steady crowd. The staff was attentive and friendly throughout. It was a busy night so the food took a little while to come out, but the wait was reasonable. All in all, a solid place to grab a hearty meal with good service in a laid back setting.
Went here for the first time while on vacation, they did not disappoint. Great food, good service and good prices too. Drinks were only $2 (non-alcoholic). It was kinda loud but that's to be expected from a bar with sports on lol
We ordered ribs and the chicken wrap for takeout and were not disappointed! Ribs were tender and tasty with the bbq sauce they put on and the wrap was loaded not skimpy. Homemade chips were some of the best I have ever had. I love good ranch and this place has the yummy homemade ranch too!
My family came and checked this place out since we just bought a place a few minutes away. We have a big family and they only had a few tables that could seat us, but they did. (We ended up coming back again a week later with my in-laws, and needed an even bigger table). I got the club sandwich with fries, my husband got the broasted chicken dinner and said it was better than Frankenmuth! My sons got the cheeseburgers and my other son got a cheese pizza, my daughter got tacos. Everyone loved their food. When we went back, I got a chicken pasty with gravy and a side salad, and it was yummy too. My husband got the nachos the second time we went and I tried it, I would get that next time! The service was good and we will be back!
Highly recommend! Wow! Delicious, fresh, friendly, clean! All good things here. Decided to visit with family while on our trip north and it was a great decision. Our server, Taylor, was phenomenal.. very attentive, friendly and informative. The food was fresh, hot and very tasty (especially their breading on food items, very light and crispy). The restaurant is one open big space as well as their patio, makes perfect local friendly atmosphere. Plenty of parking available on site. Recommend a visit and if you can some pasties (homemade and limited).
My mother and I are from out of town and we stopped here to eat. We sat at the bar. The atmosphere was wonderful for families and I ordered the salmon which was phenomenal. My mother ordered the burger which she loved. I would definitely recommend this to anyone coming in to eat.
We got here right before the rush (5:30) and got right in and had excellent service from Taylor! We had the nachos (yum) and broasted chicken ($12.99 with two sides!) and both were amazing! Played some cards as it was a perfectly paced dinner. Fish fry options looked awesome;) We are regulars but this is our first time leaving a review - we will continue to come back!!
I had the Sweet Chili Salmon. She had the Daily Special, Mahi Mahi. The soup and homemade bread were superb. Everything was perfect. Taylor, our server, was great and on point. The place was busy, but the wait wasn't bad. The restroom was clean.
