Went here tonight, but, we were a tad hesitant at first because we were the only people in the restaurant at the time. , Not a great sign, or so we thought,.,. I decided to order the Quesdila. My husband and I were expecting the worse, but wow, quite impressive, albeit I do like a little spice in my Quesdila and it also could have done with la little less olive oil. Even so the steak was tender and the whole dish quite tasty. The waiter was great, the place was clean. The only other fault are their over inflated prices with regard to drinks and food items on the menu. (So everything really). Quite expensive given this type of setting or interior/ambience. I do feel if they brought down those prices or changed the decor they would be very successful and could easily charge such prices. Kudos points to them as I am particularly hard person to please when it comes to the quality of food and service.
Traveling from 2 states away, I settled in to Clarion for the night and was hoping for a perfect steak dinner and Merlot.Though the place was not on "meal" time, the host / manager / bartender Joe offered to cook a meal for me. Wow! When does this ever happen? The man has excellent interpersonal skills and is just plain genuine and authentic. I felt so welcome. This only highlighted my delicious dinner. Juicy, tender, delicious rib eye with no over seasoning. Perfect! Don't miss this place. Joe made the whole experience great. This guy is gonna go far in the culinary / arts theater world.
I used to have to travel to Clarion from Philly for my first job out of college in 1999-2000. Me and my buddy would stop by Capt Loomis for dinner. It was always an amazing meal and something we always looked forward to on our trips; usually in the dead of winter. Food and service were always great. I’m 26 years late but a 5 star review is well deserved.
We stopped through with our family on Father's Day and stumbled upon midget wrestling. The food was fantastic, the bartenders were smokin and we got a picture with the famous Bobby Jo. Best. Day. Ever.
Tonight was the first time ordering or going here and wish I would’ve sooner! Food is amazing but service is even better! Extremely friendly, can’t say enough good about the experience. Thanks Dudley!
This is my third time here in the last month or two. I mainly eat pizza just because I really like pizza. I am perfectly happy coming back here for freshly made pizza with minimum wait, and fluffy crunchy crust. Some notes. - Pizza at the bar tastes a lot better than taking it home since the bottom crust stays crunchy. - I like the fluffiness and crunch of the crust. - It's a typical hand toss pizza which reminds me of the pizza slices I would get at the local pizza places in Philly. - There is well flavored sauce and the cheese is heavy and stretchy. - The bartender tells me they have a stone oven for it. It also doesn't seem to take long in the oven since it is pretty thin. - I've called ahead for it to pick it up after work. - The price is average for pizza. It current is $12 plus tax. It probably is a large sized pie. I've never ask and discussed sizes. I just say I want a pizza, a pie and it is what always comes, the same size. My friend told me they have other food items that are equally as good as the pizza so I'll have to come back and try other items as well. The star rating is telling me that 4 stars means I liked it while 3 means it was okay. I liked it much more than being just ok so it gets 4 stars.
Fun spot, huge bar, a couple of pool tables. The bartender was friendly and welcoming.
