I stopped by CheeHoo BBQ in Waikiki and tried the CheeHoo Plate—definitely a meal built for sharing. It comes loaded with four meats and three sides, and honestly, the portion size alone makes it worth checking out. I chose the short ribs, pork ribs, and brisket. The brisket didn’t quite do it for me—it lacked the flavor and texture I was hoping for—but the short ribs and pork ribs totally made up for it. Both were tender and packed with smoky goodness. As for the sides, I went with mac and cheese, rice, and potato salad. The mac and cheese could’ve used a little more seasoning, but the rice and potato salad were spot-on—simple, tasty, and exactly what you want alongside BBQ. Overall, CheeHoo BBQ delivered on value and flavor, and I’d definitely come back to try more.
I liked Barbecue, so I stopped here for supper and ordered the 4 meat combo. The sausage was good, but the brisket was tough. The ribs were good but average, and the Kalbi was chewy. The beans tasted like they had been sitting awhile and were mushy. Overall, I found the adequate and nothing special.
The food was outstanding. Wife and I split the combo plate and it was more than enough food for us both after a day at the beach for lunch. Price was great too. Only drawbacks: 1) lady behind the counter was not happy 2) the heat and stuffy room for this food court.
Lines can get a bit long but it's pretty good. My favorite sides were the Mac and cheese and garlic rice The sausage and ribs were amazing as well. Only negative was that the food gets cold fast
CheeHoo BBQ had some ok food, but the service was ON POINT! Staff was attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience enjoyable. Wasn't so impressed with the food, but maybe it was the wrong time! I do have to say tho the service was fire!
The baby back ribs are AMAZING!! I spent $19 on a big portion of ribs and 3 sides - mac n cheese, potato salad, coleslaw. Everything was really really good, I went back as often as I could. Cannot fathom why this place doesn't have more customers or a higher rating, they have delicious food. All the people serving the food were polite and kind as well. I like the little flower you get with the meal plate.
Visiting from Toronto, Canada. We had the meat platter and 3 sides. Overall good food. Decent pricing, and seating is plentiful. Staff were friendly, patient with our questions and meat platter enough for 2 (maybe 3).
This place is located inside the International Marketplace Food Hall. Everything tasted great, especially the coleslaw. Everything was already prepared as well, so the wait was super short. It is a food court, so be prepared to have people just standing around your table while you're trying to eat.
