have been coming to Wood Ranch for over 20 years, starting back when I briefly lived in the Valley and frequented the Northridge location. Years later, this place is still a go-to. While I love the Ventura location, Wood Ranch continues to deliver the kind of consistency that keeps you coming back. My husband and I usually sit at the bar and share a few favorites. The crispy buffalo cauliflower is always a must. Perfectly crispy with just the right amount of heat. We also share the tri tip, which is reliably flavorful and cooked just right, along with two generous sides because choosing only one is impossible. The mac and cheese and grilled corn on the cob are always the right call. The complimentary garlic rolls deserve their own mention. Warm, buttery, and dangerously easy to overdo if you are not careful. The ambiance works for just about any mood. It is great for a family dinner, a casual night out, or if you want to watch a game, which is perfect because my husband enjoys catching games at the bar. The space feels lively without being overwhelming. Service is fast and efficient, even when they are busy. We also love ordering the Casamigos luxe margarita in the skinny version, which is smooth, refreshing, and pairs perfectly with everything on the table. After all these years, Wood Ranch remains a solid favorite that still delivers.

The food is very good here. Everyone was so polite. The server was fast, he checked up on this all the time. We had a great afternoon thank you.

Have eaten this place in So. Cal. before. In Ventura it was just as good. Got the ribs, great. The Tri Tip was the best. Very tender and juicy. Sweet potato mash was fantastic. The mac and cheese was good as it gets. Total spent... $130. Well worth it !!!!! I recommend this place to anyone who wants a flavorful meal. Service was really good also.

Wood Ranch in Ventura is easily one of my favorite BBQ restaurants, and it’s clear why it’s such a crowd-pleaser. I’m still sad about the Arcadia location closing, but the Ventura branch keeps the vibe alive. We visited the Manhattan Beach spot last month, and today we stopped at Ventura for another dose of their amazing BBQ. The food is just phenomenal—those garlic rolls are pure heaven. Warm, buttery, and packed with garlicky goodness, I could eat them all day. The BBQ baby back ribs are the real deal—tender, smoky, and coated in that signature sauce that’s just perfect. And Natalie’s Salad? It’s a non-negotiable order for us. Fresh, crisp, and the ideal balance to the hearty BBQ. The service was great too. Our server was super friendly and took care of all our requests, which always makes the meal even better. If you’re in the mood for top-notch BBQ in a laid-back setting, Wood Ranch in Ventura never disappoints. Already looking forward to our next visit!

Well stopped to eat and we all had different things, this location hit it out of the park on all the food. The only con is that the chicken breast was a little chard for my sons taste. I had ribs and tri-tip it was great. I recommend it. The wife had the salmon with asparagus. She mentioned that vegetables had no taste, but fish was fine. The kids loved their food, cheese burger sliders, and mac and cheese. Overall, great food!

Traveling for work I heard a bunch of good word of mouth on this place so decided to stop in. Was pleasantly surprised, great vibes and aesthetics, quick service, cold beer, good food. Can't beat that.

All I can say is wow . We had such a great experience last night when we dined here. We were assisted by Julie who I believe was fairly new to be being a server after having helped out in different positions, hostess, take out etc. This young lady has a future with the Woodranch family should she choose to continue this calling. She was so attentive and cordial. What a wonderful experience. She knew the menu well and accommodated our desire to order our appetizers first and allowed us to finish these first and then order our main entrees which came out just it time and were absolutely DELICIOUS . What a wonderful young lady. And then we met Barbara the manager. What an awesome representative of your establishment. Very kind and courteous and it’s no wonder the staff is great. Barbara is doing an outstanding job with the personnel. Both are super spectacular reps for Woodranch. Looking forward to many more wonderful dining experiences. By the way this is my very first review of an establishment. So happy I just had to give these two fine people this great review. Keep up the good work. Best regards Franco
