I attended the little wooden penguin this past week for a painting event which I was a lot of fun. They have a lot of beer and wine on tap and have a roomy interior, patio, seating, and putt putt available. They have a store within it that has antique items for sale as well, which is fun. They had a pizza food truck set up outside and we enjoyed it! I will definitely be by again in the future !
This place was awesome. Staff was super friendly, the bar was clean, lots of options to choose from, both beer and wine. The girls and the kids also found a cool plant bar to build your own succulent garden. Would definitely recommend, but this is a hidden gem, might not want too many people to know about great job on this place!
Little Wooden Penguin is hands down one of my favorite spots in Celina! Whether I'm there with buddies for a drink or just hanging out, it's always a great time. The beer selection is fantastic, and it's the perfect place to catch up with friends and bump into familiar faces from around town. The atmosphere is laid-back and welcoming, making it the go-to spot for a casual night out. If you’re looking for a local gem to unwind and enjoy good company, this is it!
Recommended. Small, but nice. Bar only, but you can order food delivery. The outdoor area is nice. They have some video games, pinball machines for the kids.

There is NOTHING like The Little Wooden Penguin. It is unique, welcoming and so very family friendly. It brings the true small town close community feel of Celina. The staff is amazing, the drinks are cold and the food options are perfect for a date night, family outing or girls night! The owners are very creative in events, activities and functions at this venue. The beautiful mini golf course, open play area and arcade make this THE SPOT for any age! HIGHLY recommend!
This is truly a hidden gem! Mini golf, rotating craft beer/wine, live music, food trucks, yard games, chill atmosphere, adorable merchandise, build your own succulents, and more! There’s nothing like this in DFW. We can’t wait to come back! (BONUS POINTS: As a golfer, the 18 Hole Mini golf is done right. Very simple, but perfectly challenging. Something you can sink you teeth into.)
