The Urban Yard Bar

I dropped in to the Urban Yard Bar after a long day at the hospital. I was in town from Annapolis MD visiting my mom after her surgery. Dominique welcomed me in as the only customer. I asked her about the light crowd and she laughed and said that everyone was hungover from Halloween (I was there on Nov 1). I ordered a beer and sat at the bar and she grabbed a stool and joined me. We had a friendly and enjoyable chat and just as I was about to leave, another regular came in and they invited me to play darts. We had a few games and then another regular arrived bearing food that he shared all around. The Texas hospitality was on full display! I am sure that this same vibe is strong whether the bar is full or mellow like the night I was there. I promised Dominique I would return and I hope to keep my word. She’s the best! Highly recommend this cool place.

Great place! I love the inside feel, lighting and decor. Bar staff super nice. It was Sunday so kinda quiet but I'll definitely be going back again on a Fri or Saturday. The outside area a huge too and a cooling fan is out there too, nice touch!

Great little place, located conveniently in the Medical Center. 1st time here because they were having a All You Can Eat Crawfish Boil. Great bar with a patio, corn hole, and pet friendly. Staff was awesome, beer was cold, and the Crawfish were very tasty. The price was $15/person, Awesome deal. I think we had about 10 boats, and they were very generous. Lots of potatoes, corn, sausage, mushrooms, and of course crawfish. The flavor was good, and we had a great time. I will definitely be back for Happy Hour, and I hope there is more of All You Can Eat Crawfish. Try them out, have a cold beer, and relax, and as always, My 2 Cents.

A quaint little bar with a big personality! In our search for a bar with an open kitchen, we landed at the Urban Yard Bar. The bartender could not have been any more kind & helpful. Always love when we walk into an establishment & are greeted with a hearty 'hello' .. as if we had been expected. We loved our visit & would definitely return! The food was delicious & atmosphere is fun & lively!

Found this spot because they are open from noon-onward! Bartender is Dominique, and she is a peach. VERY quaint place, very nice inside and a nice wrap-around patio with a wood-burning fire pit. BBQ place next door is under same ownership and will bring food orders over to you. I'll be back!

Jamil is a great bartender! Nice outdoor area, clean, and overall pretty chill. Went to visit the Filipino food truck there, but will definitely be returning to the bar.

I love this place! The bartenders are awesome and very attentive. The establishment is always very clean and there is plenty of seating. Sports are always on inside and on the patio, which is pet and kiddo friendly. They have karaoke and live music weekly. Definitely come check this place out!
