I really enjoyed this little pancake house. Food is fresh, place is clean, service was great. Maria the waitress welcomed me with a smile and told me I could sit anywhere I’d like. She was very attentive and kept asking me if I needed more coffee You can also see cooks making your food which is always a plus. I’ll be coming back. I left pretty satisfied. ( I had spinach omelette with American cheese, choice of fruit cup and pancakes.) btw pancakes are great size and good.
This restaurant delivers an experience that goes beyond just good food, it’s genuinely memorable. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels welcoming and comfortable, making it a great choice whether you’re coming for a casual breakfast or a special lunch. The menu is thoughtfully put together with plenty of options, and everything we tried was full of flavor and clearly made with care. I highly recommend. Service was attentive and friendly, and the staff were happy to give recommendations, which made the experience even better. Overall, this restaurant is a great choice for anyone looking for quality food, great service, and a warm atmosphere. I would absolutely recommend it and will definitely be coming back.
I can't even! Another, "How have we never been to this place?" moment happened over the weekend! The Omlette House 526 St. Charles Rd - Villa Park Small, family owned, 10 table diner Open everyday - 6:30 am to 3 pm Hubby chose huevos rancheros which came with a thick ham slice. I chose a cheese omlette with Chihuahua cheese and pancakes. When asked if I wanted toast or pancakes with my order, I inquired if the pancakes were good - "Oh yeah, they're good!", our server assured me. One bite of pancake (butter only, no syrup) was enough to guarantee I'll be back! I'm a pancake snob and won't often order them since I am usually not a fan, but yowsa! Took home 1/2 my omlette which I smothered in salsa verde after I took the pic (and real deal hash browns) for a breakfast sandwich the next day. Not the pancakes though...ate every single bite! Great coffee too!
*VEGETARIAN* Absolutely love the homestyle omelettes. Made with all REAL eggs, the omelette is perfect. They serve it with a homemade salsa which is a perfect topping for the dish. Great menu selection, you can create your own omelette and they have varying specials. I would definitely recommend and visit again.
This is a classic hole in the wall diner with great food, friendly staff, and a pretty wide menu as long as you like breakfast dishes :-) It doesn’t have a lot of seating, but it doesn’t seem like a reservations kind of place . I got the Mexican scramble and my partner got the vegetarian omelette. Both came with a side of pancakes or bread so it was quite filling.
We've been here dozens of times and never had a bad experience. Friendly service, good consistent food and always served quickly. This is our number one place for breakfast. French toast, waffles, omelettes, pancakes and French fries are all recommended.
My partner ordered an egg sandwich and it truly stood out as one of the top ones I have tried. I eat gluten free, so options are fewer, yet they did offer decent gluten free pancakes instead of toast. Coffee was fine. Overall a great experience.
The omlette house is a cozy dining experience, with a family feel. Everything I've had so far has been so good that I'm comfortable exploring the menu. The service is always great & the prices are good. The food is presented well & tastes great! It's a nice little get away that allows for a quiet breakfast experience. I definitely recommend & will definitely return.
