Busy, quaint, & friendly with great lunch options including home-style meals such as turkey & dressing on Friday to excellent juicy burgers. Different specials everyday. Family-owned for 50 years. Exceptionally busy from noon to 1pm. Recommend sneaking in around 11 if possible.
Ever want your grandma's cooking? This is probably the closest you will get without it being your actual grandma. I have been here several times now and every time it's as good as the last if not better. Make sure you have cash because they don't take any form of plastic
My family went here because another restaurant was closed. Turned out to be the best decision ever. It was my grandaughter's 2nd. birthday and the waitress (Callie), staff, and other customers made us feel like family. The food is right out of grandma's kitchen and was DELICIOUS. Fresh, homemade soup, juicy fresh burgers, and I enjoyed the baked chick which was amazingly tender-falling off the bone- fantastic. After our meal, the entire restaurant sang happy birthday to my granddaughter over a lit candle in chocolate pudding! It was a wonderful experience. Want a delicious home-cooked meal, won't break the bank, and feel loved like family? Go here and ask for Callie. I can't say enough wonderful things about Santa Fe Restaurant in Brenham, TX.
First time eating here and the food is outstanding with good portions. CASH ONLY but prices are reasonable. Friendly staff seems to genuinely care about your dining experience. Callie is a fine representative for your restaurant. Thank you ladies, we'll be back.
Santa Fe Cafe is good food for a good price. Love that the daily special is $10 for the entrée, a drink and desert. Everyone in the cafe seems happy to be there, the staff has personality. The line can be long but it moves quick. Inside feels like a diner. Update 2025 - food is still good, had the meatloaf today, price has gone up, $12. Worth it!!
A super local Cafe, with home cooked breakfast and lunch. Very reasonable, with friendly staff. On this visit we had breakfast. Pork Chop, Grits, Pancake. And Eggs, Ham, and Fried Potatoes. Delicious
This is a down home southern Cafe that makes you think grandma just cooked for you! I'm in food heaven!
What a wonderful, down home restaurant! Full of regulars that are welcomed by name. We both had the Denver omelets and coffee, and they were delicious. We will definitely be returning every time we visit Brenham. Bring cash, but prices are affordable.
