If you’re looking for Cambodian food, this is the spot. If you’re missing home and craving something authentic and comforting, Sophy is a must-try. I ordered the beef skewers, sour soup, and banh xeo, and everything was so good and full of flavor. The food felt warm and homey in the best way. Definitely a place worth checking out.

GO FOR THE BÁNH XÈO! As mentioned the Bánh Xèo was so fresh and tasty, every table inside the restaurant had ordered Bánh XÈO for their table. The Somlow Machu Youun (sour pineapple soup) was deliciously balanced between sweet and sour. We also ordered chicken with crispy ginger and it was so lovely and you could really taste the ginger flavor and crispiness, so many time “Ginger” dishes hardly taste of ginger but this one did not disappoint. Private Parking in the back is a great asset. Expect us back soon!

Prahok is more of a sauce less of a crudite dip. Or maybe I got the wrong dish. Beef skewers and papaya salad was delicious. Nom krok is addictive. I was expecting more flavor and greens in the nom banh jok. It’s generous with noodles. Curry broth is delicious. Nothing is over salted. There are also scarves and table settings for sale.

Our 2nd time here (years apart). My kid really like there special fried rice. I got Nom Tok and hubby got the beef chow fun, aka Mee KhaThaang. Everything was good. They don't serve sticky rice which would been good with the Nam Tok (grilled beef salad with mint and shallots). Service was great and food was good. We would come again when we pass by again!

Super friendly and helpful staff. Always checking on us to make sure we were good. Fresh delicious food, we have a few dishes, Phnom Phen noodles. The garlic smell was intense and made my mouth water. The meat was a little on the dry side, but it was still delicious. Hubby had the Thai beef boat noddles and he loved it. The beef jerky was good. Just a little too peppery. We also had the Asian crepe. The space could use a refresh, but with good food and friendly service we can overlook the interiors and outside.

Interesting dishes. Take the fried tofu, it's usually the firm or medium tofu that most restaurants fry but this one was soft. So it melts in your mouth when you bite into it. Take the Angel wing, it's not just fried chicken wings. It's chicken stuffed. My favorite is their home made beef jerky. I get it every time I'm here. Overall, interesting creative dishes, freshly made except maybe some of the soup, generous portions, and reasonably priced. I'll never understand why they give you like a whole pot of rice but I guess some people love that much rice. I don't know if this is the best Cambodian restaurant but the food tastes great.

Absolutely delicious, soul-soothing food! We had lok lak which comes with this addictive black pepper/lime sauce, wonderfully flavored Phnom Penh noodles, and noerm sach moan (chicken salad - so fresh so clean) and it made my WEEK. Big portions. The staff are all so friendly and funny, too. Come during Halloween and you'll see some great decorations

One of Long Beach’s authentic Cambodian restaurants. The food is very good, the prahok sauce my second favorite here out of all the other Cambodian restaurants. I just wish the steak was grilled better. They have a unique twist on their fish amok, I definitely recommend it. I also enjoyed the angel wings which were a little dry but the flavor was all there.

I have to show Sophy's some love. First time eating there with friends, we felt very welcomed from the start. We ordered several dishes, and all of them were delicious. Everyone here was so kind and generous. My favorite dish was the chicken curry. I went back to get a platter of desserts, they were high quality, fresh and so good. Will be back again!

Delicious! Had to make a stop here while in Long Beach. A Cambodian friend suggested it and it did not disappoint! We ordered beef satay, sour soup w fish, sautéed frog legs and stir fry watercress - a well rounded family dinner! The waitstaff was attentive and friendly and the environment quiet and relaxed. Def recommend!

Been going to here with my family for years when I lived/visited California! They have some great Cambodian food. Traditionally I get Phnom Penh noodles, but they have other great options as well at about $15-$20 per dish. They make some of my favorite crispy squid. Really love the salt and pepper sauce. The squid is chunky and chewy. I do think they should replace some of the fried onions with more squid however, and also coat the squid a bit more as the breading kept falling off. Beef jerky is very savory and fresh. Really love it! One of our classic dishes we order. There salmon salad was something new I tried which was very delicious! There is marinated salmon that is refreshing. The salmon skin is crunchy. The vegetables are fresh. Definitely recommend. Only thing I would recommend is to sharpen up the anesthetics a bit as the building looks a bit outdated and the paint could use some touch up.
