Update (nth time): I tried its pork intestine noodles. The serving size was huge, but it wasn’t all that great. So. Will stick to lamb and beef dishes in the future. The cold rice noodle in sesame sauce was still one of the best in SoCal. This place remains as my favorite in Chino Hills as it’s fair not to expect a restaurant to serve every dish to my taste. Update (again): we went back for the second time this week as I wanted to try its wantons. Before I had always gone to my favorite wanton shop in Diamond Bar and was hoping that I like the ones here. Unfortunately, wontons are only served by its other location in Chino Hills, which I will go this week. We wound up getting the cold mixed noodles (凉粉)and it’s still one of the best I’ve had. The lamb skewer was decent but it could be fattier. The beef slice soup (lamb based soup base) was excellent as always. This is definitely my favorite restaurant, Chinese or otherwise, in Chino Hills. Update 2; yes, this place still serves the best noodle dishes here in Chino Hills. On our most recent visit, I tried its pork intestines with rice noodle today and it was excellent. Light yet very filling. Update: the results are in, this is the best Chinese restaurant in our little Chino Hills. We tried its cold sheets (凉皮) and it was tasty with the perfect flavor of sesame sauce. We also got Ute Special Lamb soup and it was one of the best lamb soup with very tender sliced lamb meat. With so many noodle shops here in our little town, the competition can be fierce, but this place stands out as one of my favorites. It features “hand-ripped” 手撕麵noodles (freshly made daily) of Changan style (an ancient, yet very important city in Chinese history, its located near Xi-An, where the terracota soldiers were found). We’ve tried Xi-An dishes before, but this was our first time trying Chang An noodles. The texture was firm, but not hard, quite different than noodles from southern parts of China. You can order it in original flavor soup or “Numb & Hot Pepper” flavor. We tried both the beef (a bit on the salty side, and nothing really special, but the beef itself was quite tender and tasty) and the lamb noodle soup, which we liked the broth like soup with tender lamb pieces. We also tried the dry noodle with three flavors 三合拌麵 (stewed minced pork, egg with tomato and potato with carrot). We really liked the flavor, taste and texture of this noodle dish. We also had a pork bun and a beef bun, both were very good. The serving sizes were generous and the service was excellent.

Been here several times now and each time has been a solid experience. The food is consistently yummy, but you do have to be careful as this style of food is very carb heavy, if that matters. If you’re good with that, these carbs really hit the spot. They’ve also got skewers you can order to try to hit those protein goals, or to balance out the carb overload you’ll surely hit. I try to order something new or different during every visit and I haven’t been let down yet. They even have a section on the menu for foreigners. I’ve ordered off of that section and still had a great time.

This has to be one of my favorite authentic Chinese restaurants. They serve very authentic Xi’an cuisine that has many spices and savory options but there’s also many light and rich flavor dishes. The servers were very kind and the food came out quick. However, the restaurant is very popular and is always packed so i wish there could be more dining room. I really recommend the lamb skewers which were very well seasoned, tender, and full of flavor. The liang pi (cold mixed noodles with sesame sauce) was also very delicious and very refreshing for hot weathers. Their mixed and seasoned skewers were cheap and very delicious with this nutty and savory sesame sauce. But beware that their mild labeled dishes are very spicy for me but it was very flavorful. Overall, I would definitely come again.

excited that Changan Kitchen (印象長安) just opened their second location in Chino Hills — even better, it’s on the north side, closer to me! The menu is a little different from the original spot, but everything is just as fresh and flavorful as always. I love how they keep it traditional with a creative twist — perfect for both classic Xi’an dishes lovers and adventurous eaters. Some of my faves this time: Wagyu Crispy Burger 和牛肉夾饃 – juicy, crispy, super satisfying Beef & Cheese Potstickers 芝士牛肉鍋貼 – comfort food with a cheesy kick Beef Pancake Roll 牛肉卷餅 – flaky, savory, packed with flavor Definitely one of my go-to spots for northern Chinese flavors with a modern edge Can’t wait to come back again (and again)! Really great food! The stir fry noodles w/ cumin beef are amazing, the chicken fried rice is very tasty, and the braised beef brisket w/ potatoes are super super delicious. My first time to try this place and definitely recommend it! You can order for pickup ahead of time, which is what I did. I came in about 5 minutes before my scheduled pick up time and my food was already ready for me at the counter! Very clean place!

The signature hand-ripped noodle is a must try if you enjoy spicy but you need to finish it ASAP as it can be a bit oily when cool down. The noodle texture is a bit firm but it's perfect for us. Squid and Beef screws were cooked nicely with cumin powder while the squid is tender but beef quality has room to be improved. All dish portions are generous and we will want to come back to try the noodle soup next time. P.S. All noodles are a bit oily and heavy in spice.

The Shrimp Stirred-Fried Noodles (Chow Mein) reminded me of Teppanyaki noodles with the unique “burnt noodle” texture on high temperature cooking. I added the restaurant-made special chilly sauce to kick it up a notch, it’d also be perfect without. Non-spicy Cumin Lamb/Beef Stirred-Fried Noodle is the perfect spiciness for me, may be too spicy for others, with added jalapeño, firm and chewing hand-stretched noodle, tender lamb, is still the top of my list at Changan Style Kitchen. MUST TRY if you like jalapeño and fresh noodles

Changan is one of my favorite go-to spots in Chino Hills. The food always comes out quickly, and everything I’ve tried is packed with incredible flavor. The portions are generous, and the prices are unbeatable. They open early with a wide variety of authentic Chinese breakfast items, and their lunch and dinner menu offers everything from skewers and noodles to spicy mixed vegetables and dumplings. My family and I always leave completely satisfied after dining here!
