Wonderful Chinese food! New to area and this is our 4th time ordering here. Each time everything has been consistent & excellent! The Mongolian Bean Curd is my favorite- its a great vegan option. Other places seem to skimp on the tofu and other veggies and you and up with a huge portion of sautéed broccoli and a few slivers tofu, and a tiny teaspoon of other vegetables-- not the case here! A generous portion of tofu, string beans, sliced mushrooms, tiny corn cobs, sliced carrots, bell peppers in the perfect ratio-- every bite is the same- loaded & balanced flavor. The Sweet & Sour Chicken is delicious, egg rolls are fried to perfection either a flavorful filling inside & very tasty. The staff is friendly & efficient. The restaurant is clean & tidy as well. I recommend China Star to all and we will absolutely be back!
The other reviews don't give enough credit. If you like new York style Chinese food, this is for you. Call and pickup. Ready in 10 minutes most of the time. Good selection, have all the favorites. A favorite of my family for over 10 years. This place reminds me of true NY / Philly style takeout chinese, right to the bullet proof glass they talk to you through. It reminds me of places I used to frequent in those cities. Definitely worth a run on a "I dont know what to eat" or "chinese food sounds real good" nights.
Personally, I don’t need overwhelming hospitality when I’m ordering fast food, as long as it’s worth the $. China star has been my go-to Chinese food spot for 3 years and they never disappoint. They are great at what they do. I’ve tried other spots and I’m always left feeling unsatisfied. Thank you China Star chefs and staff, for always providing a delicious meal each time I order!
I got take out. It was alright. I just moved to the area so I tried it out. The only thing I didn't like was that they didn't have any fortune cookies
Staff friendly, food great, I got the seseme chicken combo and out of all the places that I go to for chinese take out thier sesame chicken is probably the best....
Been coming here since Covid times. Pretty good and affordable. Give it a shot, you won’t be disappointed
I came in really close to closing time and tried the chicken on a stick special with vegetable Lo mein. The nice woman who took my order was very friendly. The food hit the spot. I will be going back soon
The food is very good and portion sizes are generous. Usually my wife and I can split 1 combination dinner! The prices are fair for what you get and best part is that usually your order is ready in 10 minutes. As one reviewer stated, this isn't really a "sit down" type of restaurant its mainly takeout. It's nice to have decent Chinese takeout so near by.
