A classic burger and ice cream spot with a nostalgic vibe. I dropped by after a hike, needing to recharge, and it brought back memories of similar joints from home. Their menu is extensive, and I went with a double cheeseburger combo. Everything was freshly made to order. The food was solid—not extraordinary, but satisfying. I didn’t get a chance to try the ice cream this time, but it’s on my list for next visit.

We are in the area for a few months. So we have heard a lot of good things about this place and had to try it out today with a to go order. Service was great, atmosphere is nostalgic like an old diner back in the day. However, food was not that great so I’m leaving 4 stars because things do happen from time to time. Ordered two Big Country Burgers 1 w/cheese, mustard, lettuce, pickles (this one came with onions that husband will not eat and the other w/cheese, mayo, lettuce, pickle & onion (this one no onion). We can’t swap because he doesn’t like mayo so that wasn’t an option. In addition I asked for both burgers to be cooked well done and I was told everything is cooked well done; as you can see from the photos this wasn’t well done. We will give it a try one more time at a later date.

Good little joint. If you are leaving skyline drive and head towards Madison county I believe. food was good and hot, greasy where it needs to be, yummy onions rings, got a shake but i dogged that pretty quick. People were really nice!

Surprisingly good. Someone I know said they had a burger here they did not like. I came with a family of 4 and everything came across very well!

What can I say Tasty Freeze is a blast from the past absolutely love this place super clean the staff is always super attentive can't say enough good things about this place. It feels like one of those places you take your kids and then they take their kids something you think back and you remember how you and your dad snuck out and got ice cream together at least that's just me

If it's nostalgia you're after, this place does not disappoint! 1950s diner/ice cream shop still in operation. My parents went here as kids, I did too...and now I take my kids here. It's a family tradition! I hope to take my grandchildren here someday as well. It's simple, but always good. My favorite is a BLT and strawberry shortcake.

A throwback diner with great food. I've tried about half a dozen items and they were all very good.
