Food is pretty decent. Price has gone up since we were there last. But what happened to getting a side of steamed white rice with entrees? I ordered a small sweet & sour chicken and small Mongolian beef; thinking both would come with a small steamed white rice.
If you’re on the fence on where to go for food, then you saw the right review! This place never fails! It is always so delicious and convenient to go! I consider it a hidden gem! If you haven’t come here with your family I would highly recommend it, the people are so kind and friendly and welcoming! Hope you enjoy!
My wife and I have been coming to Gilbert’s almost every Thursday night for the past three plus years, and it has never disappointed us. The food is consistently excellent, with generous portions which keep us coming back week after week. The front counter staff, especially the person we have come to know well over the years, is always kind, welcoming, and attentive. Every meal we’ve had at Gilbert’s has been fresh, well-prepared, and satisfying. If you're looking for a spot with consistently delicious food, Gilbert’s is absolutely worth a visit!
I moved out of state 11 years ago and only made it back once and I still think about their Mongolian Beef and Beef Chop Suey - I wish I could pay to overnight a order!!

the best Chinese food around ! I am not kidding. No place to sit and eat, it’s take out only. Tell them if you are gonna eat in the car, they will give you utensils. I love this place. Amazing fried rice, scrumptious crab Rangoon… soups all amazing, Mongolian beef has set the bar for all others… general Tao chicken, brilliant, as is the orange chicken. I could go on and on.. it is a hole in the wall Chinese place, but it’s clean clean clean. Very affordable, big servings too. They are so friendly, and pack food up so it stays hot! We have driven an hour with it and stopped to eat… and it was HOT. If you’re ever in the area, and want hot, delicious Chinese…I highly recommend
