My family loves Handy's! I have NEVER been disappointed. Fast and friendly service. The orange chicken is amazing (pictured)
Love service. Quick with attending customers. Came here about 5-6 times this month with my boyfriend. We cannot get enough of their delicious food. Highly recommend. You’ll be out on average 10-15 minutes. No more, no less. Affordable than any Chinese restaurant out there.
We ordered food to go for our daughter’s birthday and we were very pleased with everything we got. General Tso’s chicken, beef with broccoli, pork stir-fry, and broccoli with garlic sauce. They were very generous with the meat and the pieces were large. Very good value for the money!
My parents recently bought a house in northern Durham, less than 2 miles from Handy Kitchen. Turns out this is going to be a problem because it's so good and fast that I end up eating there way too much. The egg drop soup can be a little gloppy like they didn't wisk the thickener enough, but the taste and ratio of egg to liquid is great. The sweet and sour pork was nicely crisp and good quality meat. The chicken lo main has been a crowd favorite. So was the honey chicken, btw they give you a ton of sauce so you can douse your food. Pork fried rice has nice chunks of meat in it. The only thing I'm not thrilled about is their definition of spicy. I've asked for spicy twice and feel both time it was pretty mild.
I was greeted by a nice women at the front desk and she was very helpful on questions I had a bout the menu. Also I found didnt take to long but they actually cooked the food and didt have it in a warmer which was nice to know because my food is fresh and it taste so much better. And I got vegetable lo me in And my brother got the Orange chicken combo with rice broccoli and egg rolls.

This is my favorite restaurant in Durham and the most consistent. The lady usually at the country is super nice and calling to order is very straightforward and easy. The orange chicken and spare rib are yhe best I've had at a non-fancy location and prices are very fair!
The Food is always good no matter what you order but THE Pork Rib tips and the Crab ragoon is # 1 in my book!! I haven't found another Chinese restaurant that makes it as good as Handy Kitchen!! They've been in business for Over 2 decades and that Alone Tells you the food is Good!!! Way to go Mrs. Lynn Your the Best!!! 5 rating/ Highly Recommend
