Hunan Food & Chinese Restaurant

I just moved here to Brillion from Neenah and my family and I were hungry and craving Chinese food. I've asked around town, and a cashier at Kwick trip, a lady at the Community Center, group of people at the Library, and all 3 people that were working at Oriely's Auto parts when I walked in, all said this place was good. So I looked them up on Google because that's a lot of people who said it was good, but I seen a recent bad review. I was a little worried about the recent bad review, but then realized the review just seemed over the top and if it was actually that visually bad, why would they eat it and not bring it back and demand a refund or a re-cook? Then they said they got sick but begun by saying it was not edible. Both my wife and I agreed it just didn't make sense and thought we'd take the community local's words on it, and we are very happy we did. Both the man and lady welcomed us to Brillion after we told them we just moved here and were excited to try their food. We ordered the sweet and sour chicken in both the large by itself and also a combo and asked for it to be extra crispy. The large came in a traditional Chinese food container that allows a little steam to release. These were amazing!!! The combo came with fried rice and egg roll. The fried rice and that particular portion of sweet and sour chicken was put in a plastic sealed container that didn't allow steam to release. It was still pretty good but not as crispy as the one in the traditional container. The fried rice wasn't amazing but also not bad. Still better than plain white rice and came in the combo, so I'm not complaining. I really liked the order of crab ragoon we got. It's better flavor inside than most places I've been. The egg rolls in the combos have good flavor, a little heavy on the veggies, could be meatier, but that's me being nit picky because I'm half Asian and like my egg rolls a certain way. They're still better than most places in the Fox Valley where we're from, so I was happy. I also ordered General Tso chicken combo. It too came in a plastic container and built up a little steam. Still crispy and very good, but it could be Amazing if they put the general tso chicken in a container that can vent the heat/steam so it stays crispier. Again still very good and better than most places in the Fox Valley even. So far, I really like this place and I recommend them.

I've tried every Chinese restaurant in Green Bay. I've tried every Chinese restaurant in Sheboygan. I have had many meals from Chinese restaurants in Appleton. The best food, bar none, is from this little place in Brillian. Mmmmmm

Super walk up and take out service. I asked if they could prepare something special for me that wasn't on the menu and they were extremely accommodating. The vegetables are super crunchy and fresh lovely sauces. Glad I discovered this place close to home.

The food is always very good and fast friendly service

The food is amazing. I got the general Taos chicken lunch special and egg drop soup. The chicken is perfectly spicy and the flavor is amazing. Same with the soup. The crab ragoons are probably the best ones I've ever had! We will definitely be coming back!

Food is always fresh and delicious upon ordering! Shrimp portions are always generous when ordering shrimp and broccoli or the shrimp mein fun! Only thing I wish they’d do is give one more container of rice. One container per 2 large dishes isn’t very much when serving 4-6 people.

Hunan in Brillion Wisconsin is our family's favorite place for Chinese take out. We have tried many of the local places and this is the best tasting food. Our order is always ready promptly, hot and delicious! Know that they only take cash. Order by phone or at a walk up little window where you can't really see the face of the person taking your order. There is no seating inside, you can't even walk in. You know the food is amazing if you have to go through all that and they keep thriving! We highly recommend!

Typical small town Chinese restaurant. Fast and fresh food, friendly family service, not a large seating area, take out but not sure about delivery. My meal was fast fresh and delicious, will be coming back soon.
