We got our food delivered and we live on the other side of town. Our food was here within 20 mins and HOT like right out of the kitchen hot. Egg rolls were crispy and delicious. We had a mix of a few things everything was fresh and hot. If I could give a 10 star review I would
Authentic food, great dining area with a delicate art been a staple in altoona for awhile.
Other places in town are OK but I prefer Lychee over them all. The service and people are amazing. They deliver, which is always a blessing for days I don't want to drive out. The food comes fresh and hot! They do their best to honor requests or special requirements and not overcharge an add-on. Prices are comparable to others in the area. Need I say more? Every box is check on my list of what I'd consider good eats all around.
this is one of my two favorites for Chinese take out. As an added bonus, the staff helps me with my Chinese pronunciations. I get to learn a few words each time. This is also one of the few places that if you go in and ask for them to make something extra spicy, they actually do it. I can also say this, I have done work in many of the commercial kitchens, and while it's been almost a decade since I've done a wiring job in a Chinese restaurant kitchen, the kitchen at Lychee was clean. That's a huge plus. Friendly staff, great food, and it comes out fast.
I stopped in for lunch after getting groceries. I was honestly surprised how good it was. Everything seemed fresh and not overcooked. The sauce was tasty and not overcomplicated overly sweet. Also these days if you can get a lunch and drink for $8 not bad at all. That's cheaper then a quarter pounder meal!
Been here twice and have no complaints. The food is what we been looking for for 27 years. Finally found good Chinese. Staff are friendly, place is clean and food is wonderful. Pictured below is the Scallops in garlic sauce. It was ok, but not my favorite. General Cso Chicken is really good. So is the Sazhuan Shrimp.
