I love going to mei le for their baked goods. They have really big baked buns at a really good price. We also like to come here for lunch when we’re craving dim sum. The food is really good although servings are small compared to other places. This is a very busy place so come early :)
Always great service and delicious dim sum! Highly recommend and try their bakery side too for juicy steamed and baked buns!
This is one of those spots where unassuming interiors hide some seriously tasty cooking. The menu is packed with interesting dishes, including a few uncommon gems—beef stomach and tendons, for instance, were fantastic, with the stomach perfectly tender. Sure, not every staff member exudes warmth, but somehow it adds to the charm, making the experience feel authentic. And the food is good enough to make you laugh it off anyway. With very reasonable prices, there’s no doubt we’ll be back for more.
Try to avoid coming during peak meal times—it’s way quieter and more relaxed. Lunch and dinner rushes can get busy with lineups and a bit of noise. I usually swing by during off-hours, and it’s much nicer. The dishes I snapped pics of are very tasty, great value, and really hearty—perfect if you’re into meat. Their fried rice is great too.
We went here for a quick lunch before the movies. They are busy but on weekdays, it’s minimal wait. We ordered the Sweet and Sour Pork Rice and Beef Curry Rice. Both are flavourful and comes with HK style Milk Tea. The wait staff is efficient. After lunch, we purchased half a dozen Apple Tarts and a giant donut for dessert.
Authentic taste, classic Cantonese dishes, affordable prices — I’ll definitely come again.
