Service was good. Food was decent for the most part. The already made hot food did not look appealing. Lunch AYCE menu has two levels, $19 or $22, or you can choose one of their three level menu prices, $30, $40, $48.
Good all you can eat sushi spot with fresh ingredients and decent quality. The ambiance was fine, nothing special. Service was okay, but the sushi options were quite limited, which was disappointing. Overall, a solid but average experience, good for a quick sushi fix.
Never had the chance to dine in, but I’ve been constantly ordering from Uber Eats. They have great customer service and even better sashimi!! The salmon sashimi portions are great, and the quality is sooo good for its price!!! It’s so buttery soft and soooo fresh!!!! This is my new take out place!! If this place was nearer to where I lived, I’d go all the time I love this place!!!!
After coming here for more than five years, Ninkazu is still my go-to place whenever I’m craving AYCE sushi in Richmond. Great value, solid quality, and one of the few places where you can actually enjoy eating without feeling rushed or judged. Always a good experience. I especially love their $21 lunch special AYCE, which I keep coming back for. The lunch menu is such a steal — not just sushi, but also tempura, grilled salmon head, beef short ribs, and various small dishes, and everything is consistently well made and flavorful. Nothing feels like filler food. Even at their regular-priced AYCE, it’s still totally worth it. The salmon and scallop sashimi are great quality. One thing I really want to mention is the service. I have a pretty big appetite, and at some other AYCE places, servers would limit orders or make comments about how much I eat — which honestly feels uncomfortable. But at Ninkazu, they always bring everything we order, no cutting back, no comments at all. The staff are genuinely friendly, respectful, and attentive, and that makes the whole experience feel warm and welcoming. Really grateful for a place like this after all these years. Highly recommend — hope more people come check it out.
Came here for the late night AYCE for $18. Wasn’t expecting much in terms of quality. Quality was still good but their choices were limited. They do have another price at $24 which has more choices. Service was like a standard AYCE. Place was big and spacious and seemed clean.
I’ve ordered take out from Sushi Ninkazu on UberEats about 5 times over the past 2 months thus far. This is reasonably rare for me given how many good restaurants there are in Richmond mostly concentrated around No 3 road. I’ve walked by their store numerous times prior for months but never ventured in because it was a cheap sushi buffet. (Even when typical buffet has sushi, as many Chinese buffet do, I give it a pass for this reason.) Sushi is not typically something I am adventurous to try with unfamiliar cheap sushi because of the risk of parasites. About 70% of salmon have parasites (you must properly freeze it to kill the parasites; apparently most sushi restaurants source from the same one or two suppliers) however tuna is more resistant to parasites hence when trying an unfamiliar cheap sushi restaurant, I typically go for spicy tuna (and that’s what I did here when I first ordered - and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the tuna the first time. Subsequent rounds were still tasty just not as fresh as the first). I typically order spicy tuna, negitoro (they don’t have) and spicy salmon when eating sushi. I’m not exactly a fan of raw fish but I like that it’s healthy and tasty with the spicy seasoning. However one time I wanted sushi and this store was open late on UberEats. So I figured I’d give it a try with spicy tuna, Alaskan roll (I thought it would be smoke salmon but note they use regular salmon), and chicken kaarage. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality. I’ve since gone back and ordered their chicken don (part of their $20 combo with shrimp tempura and spring rolls) and beef don and more chicken kaarage. All their cooked food are great. The spicy tuna was very tasty but the quality of the fish really varies by the day. Still fresher than my experience with Ajishou. If you get any of their cooked food catered or delivered, you’d never know it was a cheap sushi buffet. The quality is on par to most average Japanese restaurants. It’s quickly becoming one of my favourite take out restaurant because their food is actually surprisingly good and unbelievably cheap and the service is friendly. All the staff are always excellent and attentive. With the quality and service of their take out, I’ll probably try their buffet some day for the lunch or late night since I mostly only eat cooked food and spicy tuna which is both on their lunch and late night buffet. Would I recommend Sushi Ninkazu? Yes. At least for the cooked food and friendly service for quick and easy take out or delivery. There’s 20% off pick up on UberEats and prices are same in store. Oh and they also really pay attention to order notes like if you ask for chili sauce. Excellent service.
Good service, and pretty accurate delivery of our order for an all you can eat. The cooked items were pretty good, ribs , chicken Karage and prawn tempura especially. The salmon was definitely better then the tuna in quality this time. Anything with scallops was great. Yummy mango pudding to finish
We came as a party of 6 with a toddler on a Wednesday dinner with reservations. It wasn’t that busy and we got their A+B+C option. Considering the many all you can eat (AYCE) sushi closures across Vancouver especially after the pandemic, we are grateful Richmond Ninkazu (used to be Richmond Sushi) is still around. Their food service was prompt considering how much we ordered. We were satisfied with the overall food quality considering this was an AYCE (so not expecting high quality food). Prices are going up everywhere, not just restaurants so no complaints about their prices going up. I really hope we don’t lose this AYCE sushi place, especially now that we barely have any AYCE sushi options left in Vancouver. Some memorable items included the toro sashimi, Korean salmon sashimi, Gyutan (some cuts of the beef tongue were juicy, can be hit and miss), torched salmon sushi (charred flavor with decent quality salmon), and beef tataki. Tako sashimi was sweet and more crunchy than chewy which I prefer. My husband thought the Hamachi sashimi could’ve been better, but I thought it was decent enough for AYCE. I ordered both the negitoro and the spicy tuna cone and expected more fish in a cone so was disappointed with the rice to fish ratio in a cone. We did order a lot but did not get the asked amount, which I anticipated would happen (happens in most AYCE). At least we didn’t get anything extra that we did not ask for. We are looking forward to coming back again! Especially if we’re craving for a lot of fish!
Ninkazu is a bit difficult to score because your experience is heavily based on what menu you order. You very much get what you pay for. If you order cheap sushi, you should expect lower quality food. Ninkazu has three stacking menus with "C" being the lowest quality rolls - full of rice and cheap fish - and "A" being the sashimi cuts of better fish, also including everything on the two lower level menus. Service is always friendly, and it's not difficult to catch a server's attention for refills and fresh orders. Tables are quickly cleaned between customers and empty plates are cleared every minute or three. Honestly, they're some of the most alert staff I've found outside of high-end restaurants. The restaurant itself is utilitarian, but there's not much to complain about since you're there for all you can eat sushi, not ambiance and decor. Still, everyone in the restaurant always seems to be having a good time. Overall, I really like Ninkazu. You get what you pay for.
Been going to this place since its first year. It's been around about 20 years. It was the first and original all-you-can-eat Japanese food in Vancouver and set the standard and menu for the many other competitors that followed its footsteps. Haven't gone in many years and went again recently. It was better than expected. Very affordable prices and great quality and taste for price.
Still one of the best for All You Can Eat in Richmond. Always a bang for your buck. Service is fast too and food is good. We love the Chicken Wings, Beef Ribs, Chicken Karage and Takoyaki and many more. Be sure to bring your appetite and be patient. We will be back.
