This place came up on my YouTube feed. This place is the original Hakka restaurant in Toronto. Being a fan of this cuisine I had to check it out. This place does not disappoint. The chili chicken was really good. The fried rice was good, and the chicken corn soup was great! I did come back a few days later for lunch and tried the Manchurian fish. This was also really good. If you’re in the area or in the mood for good Hakka, make sure you come here.

I remember seeing an article about the owners and how they kept the business alive after their parents were running it for a while. Love stories like this so had to come out and support. Amazing Hakka food, my favourite was the chicken pekora

On Saturday, I decided to bring my girlfriend to Yueh Tung Restaurant. I used to work in Chinatown at Dundas and Spadina, and like many of us, I had forgotten about the original Chinatown — but the area is really buzzing again with tons of great restaurants. We ordered the Chili Chicken, Manchurian Chicken, Shrimp with Lobster Sauce, and Snow Pea Leaves. The portions were huge, the flavours were incredible, and they definitely don’t skimp on the meat. I honestly had some of the most tender chicken I’ve ever tasted. Staff is super friendly and attention to detail. If you’re in the area, definitely go support this local gem! Highly recommended.

Amazing authentic Hakka cuisine. Read about the story which’s is captured in one of my pictures. The Manchurian and chilly flavours took me back home. There are many Hakka restaurants but this one is one the first so if you are in the area please do visit to experience this restaurant. Enjoy.

好食! If you are looking for a truly authentic Hakka experience (yong tau foo, muy choy kau yok and others), come to this place. Friendly staff who have been working here for years, some since the beginning. Food is awesome, even when compared to Hakka restaurants in Kepong. Definitely a must visit. (Hope I can get them to make deep fried sui kow, pigs trotters cooked in sweetened vinegar, wutao chi yok and cha chi yok).

Fair prices for the area and decent food overall. It’s a good spot for lunch, but get there early as it can fill up quickly. Service is efficient and friendly, and they accept credit cards, which is convenient.

This was my first time at Yueh Tung Restaurant and I can honestly say it’s a hidden gem in the city! We dined in as a family of five and were blown away by the experience. The portions are huge, the food is authentic Hakka cuisine, and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. The staff were so welcoming and pleasant, which made the atmosphere even better. It felt like a place with real heart and tradition behind it. I only wish I had discovered this restaurant sooner! We’ll definitely be coming back again and again.

When Zio goes out to eat, Yueh Tung is high on the list. Great staff and delectable food. Can’t wait for our next meal there. A wonderful dinner at Yueh Tung, the iconic Chili Chicken is a must, it was delicious, as always. Beef w/mixed veggies was stellar and the fried rice was marvelous. Staff was definitely one of the stars! They made us feel at home, attentive and very pleasant, personable! We also had the pleasure of speaking to Chef Joanna, who is as lovely as they come. Now, to figure out when's our next visit!
