Had an amazing experience. I love that they encouraged sharing dishes. Not all Michelin starred restaurants are as casual as this and I was able to relax and enjoy myself with my family. Love the atmosphere. The decour is pleasant and so is the attention to detail. Staff provided excellent service. For the food, the highlight was undoubtedly the Spaghetti Neri. Impeccable texture and flavour. This was tied with the best pesto I've ever tasted, even better than Italy. Millefoglie was also incredible. The only misstep was the rum forward tiramisu. It actually drowned out the other flavours a little. Also the Duck Ragu had a pretty mild flavour. The meat while tender did not have as much taste as expected. Other than this I had a great experience and will be back in the future. The price was also extremely reasonable to experience a Michelin starred restaurant.
Came here for a celebration last night. Michelin restaurants are supposed to be higher quality, both in food and service, and we noticed this at Giulia. The food mostly met our standards and some surpassed. My favorite was the veal carpaccio that paired well with the savory tuna foam. The pastas were perfectly cooked and one was even spicy which was a pleasant surprise. The tiramisu tasted normal—it didn’t wow me and I felt like it should have given the title the restaurant has received. They could expand their wine list to include a few medium sweet wines to accommodate more preferences. Our server/bartender was attentive and social. The restaurant ambiance is cute and sitting at the bar let us see him make all these fun drinks.
We asked our server for the top sellers and of course their pasta was excellent. Both the braised beef genovese and the squid scallop pasta were simple, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The grilled market seafood dish had a few misses here and there, nothing terrible, just felt a bit mid overall( though the prawns in it were absolutely amazing). Tiramisu was top tier, easily one of the best I’ve had in the city. Focaccia bread and pear endive salad was a solid 9/10.. All in all, a lovely spot with some real highlights on the menu. Would def go back.
Visited this lovely restaurant for an early Christmas dinner. Personal favourite dish was the Spaghetti neri ai recci di mare (Uni Pasta). The lobster risotto and rack of lamb was also delicious. Finished with the Millefoglie al coco. Definitely will be back!
We made reservations and sat by the bar. Atmosphere is warm and inviting, decor simple but striking with multiple textures. Servers were informative and attentive. Everything was delicious and would definitely return to try the other pasta dishes.
Visited last night for a celebration for my friend’s graduation. Let me tell you: I was already thinking when to visit again right after dinner! We ordered the veal carpaccio (as most did) and it didn’t disappoint at all. Sea urchin pasta and lobster risotto were also perfect. I particularly liked the creamy texture of the lobster meat. Cocktails were okay. Next time I’ll consult the servers on wine pairings.
Hospitable and relaxing atmosphere. The staff were professional, friendly and knowledgeable. My favorite was the veal carpaccio. Our server recommended the focaccia which we ordered but imo the portion size is a bit too much for 2 people, it was so cheesy and filling we had to take the rest to go. Compared to their sister restaurant Giulietta I would have to say I enjoyed Giulietta’s menu more at a better price point.
