Like lots of other customers, we came here from seeing their pastries on Instagram. I was a little skeptical because of some of the latest reviews, but I thoroughly enjoyed my hot chocolate croissant! The pastry was flaky and flavourful. Understandably, the hot chocolate was extremely thick and rich. It would have to be to be in a pastry. I enjoyed having it, but not something I would order again. My friend had a regular hot chocolate in a mug and she said it was delicious. I also had a flat white that was extremely good. Flat whites in Vancouver can be hit or miss. This one was a hit.
Their pastries are REALLY good. I had the Dulce di Leche one. It's a bit more expensive than your average cafe but their pastries are really good quality. The service was super nice and helpful, I could tell they work hard. I also ordered this Mont Blanc Hot chocolate which looks amazing and was not too sweet. I will go back for sure. They don't have a lot of seating inside though (I think 4 small tables and 2 outside).
Friendly cafe serving seriously delicious treats. The supreme croissants are as yummy as they are cute! Decided on a peanut butter and jam supreme because jam and croissants is such a good combo, and this one is swirled perfectly with jam in every bite. So good! I will be back for another supreme! Tip! If you ask, they will bring it back to the kitchen and cut it in half for you properly to make it easy (and less messy) to share!
Want to try this place long time . So Long story short , went on a Monday BC Day , order a Supreme (Matcha),chestnut, and coffee. Matcha supreme 5 start - very tasty, the matcha filling is smooth, not too over powering! Not too sweet , crispy out soft in ! Chestnut 3start - too sweet , one bite too heavy didn’t want a second bite. Can’t taste what suppose to taste! Coffee - I don’t like coffee , but if ur a coffee lover , you probably like it ! No common on this. The chestnut drink 1 start - not recommend , wayyyyyyyy toooooo sweeeeetttttt !!!!! They have other pastries- will try next time . P.S. - do not recommend for take it to go , if you want it to go , tell them separate the filling ,so you can do the filling whenever you want it and keep it crispy instead soggy Service - 5 of 5 Foods - 3.9 of 5
Came here with one of our friends as they recommended it though other social media posts and it was as advertised. The round croissant is pretty good, maybe a touch too much filling as I found it a bit heavy (could barely finish it) but it was tasty. We tried a couple of the croissabts and it was tasty. Also tried their Crispy latte, which was effectively a latte with post cereal on top. Worth coming to try it out, maybe next time we'll come on an empty stomach and be able to enjoy it more.
I had to try their thanksgiving croissant. Don't judge a book by it's cover. Despite looking a bit dry, the croissant was super warm and moist and the filling was amazing; great balance of sweet, sour and salty. The service was amazing and great attention to details. The matcha latte a bit on the pricey side but amazing. I will definitely visit again!
Tried the special drink: pineapple rosemary oat latte and Mont Blanc hot chocolate. It’s pretty unique and taste good, but not for everyone. Cute interior, friendly staff and owner, service is excellent. My 3 y/o babe girl accidentally dropped her hot chocolate on the floor. The owner told us not to worry about it, and made a new one for us. That was very sweet. They also carry lots of home-made pastry, haven’t tried it yet.
Been looking forward to trying this little cafe! Go early though because their items sell out (especially the supreme croissants that are all over social media). Staff taking my order was new but very friendly and clearly trying hard to give the customers a good experience. Grilled cheese on sourdough was perfect and the mont blanc hot chocolate was super tasty (not too sweet either). Chatted with the owner too and he was very nice. One of those small businesses you just can't help but want to support because of the people behind it!
Went for the hot chocolate fest creations and it was an okay experience. The croissant supreme was more of a room temp melted chocolate filled croissant than anything resembling a hot chocolate, but the croissant itself was pretty good. It's a very small space so was pretty crowded with lots of people not being able to get tables. They staff also seemed a bit confused but fair, they were busy. Would try their other pastries in the future!
The croissants here are absolutely amazing and very filling. We got the chestnut and the almond. The available flavours will be different depending on the day and time. For example we did not see the fig ones or strawberry ones. We also got matcha latte and mocha. The drinks are delicious too.
