Saw a photo of the french toast online. Ordered it and was VERY PLEASED. Also had bacon egg and cheese on wheat. Bacon was especially tasty.
Sometime simple is simply perfect. Attentive staff, fast service and a quiet and clean restaurant. Would come here more if I lived closer.
Best breakfast in recent years. This family owned restaurant served breakfast throughout the day if I’m not wrong! Breakfast made to order, arrived quickly even though it is rush hour. Over all a great experience!
It's a total mom and pop type restaurant, but it is a great place to take a date, hangout with friends or simply just unwind. The main focus is on food and service. This is not like some Michelin star restaurant, but that is why people love this place so much. The staff are friendly people who are very real and genuine and the food is delicious. To me it tastes like food you'd get going back home to visit family. Fantastic, quiet little place!
I come to McLean Family Restaurant in McLean, VA all the time and it's a case study in operational excellence at the neighborhood level. The food is consistently great, pricing is exceptionally fair, and the service experience is outstanding: friendly, efficient, and genuinely attentive. The menu focuses on traditional American fare and executes with discipline. No fluff, no trend-chasing, just dependable classics done right, every single time. Despite being consistently packed, the wait is never unreasonable. Table turnover is clearly optimized without making guests feel rushed, which speaks to a well-run front-of-house operation. Family-owned and operated by a local Greek family, the restaurant benefits from hands-on leadership and real pride of ownership. That shows up in the food, the service, and the overall experience.
What a great spot! Such a homie diner feel, and the food was all outstanding- especially the omelettes. This is a mess visit spot for great quality and service!
Food and service are excellent. Local diner feel with mostly locals present. Good prices with excellent portions and choices. I love their French onion soup, Greek salad with grilled chicken, beef stew and stuffed peppers.
This a family diner. It's homey with lovely people taking care of you. You can tell it's been around forever with all the regulars and so many food staples. Also, the prices are still affordable!
