10 out of 10 The food was AMAZING! The lady at the front desk was a sweetheart. She was the only one working but she was handling things like a boss I got the veggie pita sandwich with fried squash… so freakin good!! My daughter got the tenders with fries and her eyes rolled to the back of her when she took the first bite lol basic dishes but soooo delish It was our first time here and we live right around the corner but we will definitely be regulars going forward!!! Don’t let the outside appearance deter you.. this place is legit!!

I've come here with my son a few times, and I definitely see why folks recommend it for comfort food. Comfy atmosphere, diverse selection of food options, and relatively prompt ordering, order cook to table time, and friendly employees. The kids' meals are full size, so most kids will be filled up. You can get the meals (like hot dogs and hamburgers) as plain or dressed up as your kid prefers. The kids' meals aren't reinventing the wheel - they are just solid core options a parent might expect and get the job done! I've had the hamburger steak twice w/ gravy and onions, and a double cheese burger with the works (it was one of the mid-week specials). Burger was definitely solid but I wouldn't go as far as some of the other reviews saying best in the city. That hamburger steak w/gravy is awesome - awesome enough that it'll be tough not to make that my regular order when I go there, instead of exploring the menu more! Typical regular and southern sides available (fried Okra, Mac, crinkle fries, onion rings, mash and gravy, etc.) A lot of sides available, so you'll find a combo that fits your taste. Also, for the amount of food you get, price is great! Dining experience is order at the counter, sit, and they'll bring the food to you. The employees circle the dining room and fill fountain drinks as needed. They are pretty attentive, so you shouldn't have to wait long before your beverage is refilled. Super nice, too, always taking time to interact with my kiddo and keeping the dining area clean! Definitely a solid place to visit for a good meal at a great price. Recommend you give it a try if you're in the area!

Exactly the kind of "hole in the wall" diner, I was hoping to find. You don't want or need "atmosphere" in a place like this. I seek out places like this for no nonsense good food at reasonable prices. Fried a chicken livers just right, so far haven't had bad there. To be clear, I am not knocking the decor, if it rated higher than a 3, it wouldn't be appropriate to the genre. True to the simple diner with outstanding food genre, Teds has it right, everything, right.

Don't expect shiny new furniture here but you will get great food at a superb price with extra friendly service! I love their double cheeseburger special and it is less than $10, maybe $11.50 with a tip if you go pick up in person. The ladies who run the front counter are always very friendly and all smiles and I appreciate that very much! Thank you!

My wife a high school friend of hers and , I had lunch today at Ted’s Restaurant! I had a Cheeseburger and fries and my wife and her friend had a vegetable plate . Everything was delicious and everyone left full and happy. We all reminisced about coming to Ted’s to eat and the last time we remember coming g here to eat . I used to work down the street and was a regular at Ted’s and would get an order for fellow employees that wanted lunch from Ted’s . If you have never tried Ted’s Restaurant then you have missed the boat . You owe it to yourself and those you love to go and visit Ted’s Restaurant the next chance you get . You want to be disappointed! Everything I ever have eaten there has been nothing less than delicious! Thanks Wayne

This place is great! Food is always hot!! And they are so thoughtful and friendly and with their great prices and old staple vibe you can’t help but go back again. The ladies even sent me a get well note on my food box! . It’s still some kind people in the world yall! Check this place out you won’t be disappointed!!

Ted's Restaurant has a casual atmosphere with a tasty comfort food menu. The ribeye steak sandwich is always a treat. Onion rings are a standout side. A great spot for a laid-back lunch or dinner.

Really great comfort food! The fried chicken was made to order (took 20 minures, but they let us know that before we ordered) Got the fried flounder was so good, got it peppered and salted, very very very good! You get 2 sides and bread with the dinners. The potatoes were buttery goodness. It's a bit far out but wellw worthit. The atmosphere is diner like, not fancy. Greatest diamond in the rough.
