So Back Then In 2020, We Once Came Here To Have A Thick Strawberry Shake, Which Is The Creamiest And Thickest Shake We Have Ever Tried! But I Am Genuinely Heartbroken After They Closed! If You Are About To Come Here, It Is Currently Permanently Closed, So Just Don’t. There Is Also A Nearly Identical Restaurant Called Iceberg Drive Inn, Which Is Still In Business And You Can Go There.

Ballard's Iceberg is one of the great remaining Draper heritage sites. Not to be confused with the franchised Icebergs, this location is independently owned and operated, and has a cool founding story as to why. During my visit, I enjoyed the Big burger. It's a standard hamburger, but doesn't have the grease and regret of fast food burgers. The fries are good and perfectly salted, although mine could've used a little more time in the fryer. I also ordered a Reese's shake and it's solid. On my next visit, I'd like to try the spicy chicken sandwich, onion rings, and a different shake flavor (maybe the brownie). There's parking on both sides of the building. The teens who took my order were friendly and helpful. The dining hall is compact, but that adds to the experience overall. If there's no open tables inside, they have some outside tables on the west side. I love that this place holds history since 1960, and hope it stays around through the next century.

Historic iconic drive inn sad to see it’s closing. Even with the large last day crowd the employees were so pleasant and helpful and served everyone with a smile. Thank you for over a half a century of burgers, fries, shakes and enjoyment !

Jeremy's Burger Ratings – 3rd Edition! Just stumbled across a hidden gem—Ballard's Iceberg in Draper—less than 5 mins from my place it was hiding in plain sight!?! And wow, this bad boy shot straight to #2 on the list! It’s nothing fancy, but that’s the charm. It's clean, flavorful, has a crispy bun, and it won’t leave you feeling greasy or regretful. They nail that crunchy texture and have a nice springy saucy base. Absolute sleeper hit. Salt Lake Valley Burger Ratings TOP 5: 1. Bambara – 9.5 <-- Still the G.O.A.T. 2. This place is a Draper classic! It has been here for a very long time and has a very cozy vibe. Prices are excellent too! Food is average and above average depending on what you order. It's a bit dated inside but clean. Food comes quickly! I love coming here so much! Be aware parking can get difficult sometimes.

I've been going to Ballards Iceberg my entire life. I have many memories at this place. I went there today for what may be my last time. I'm heartbroken that they are closing for good in 9 days. A Draper icon that will be missed by SO MANY people. Today, I had the classic meal of my youth. Footlong hot dog, no onion. Fries. A peanut butter and Oreo malt. Divine. Iceberg, you will definitely be missed!
