This place was extremely packed and is so popular - and for good reason. Despite how busy they were we were seated and served very quickly. We ordered their signature and added some grilled chicken. It was so delicious we were in heaven!! The cheese pull was unreal and the gravy was excellent!! The chicken had a great texture and flavour. Only thing I’d say is that the fries could be better but overall everything was incredible, we’d definitely come back!

We finally made it to La Banquise, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The wait outside was long but full of anticipation, and totally worth it once we stepped inside. The place was buzzing with energy: a warm, lively atmosphere, friendly staff, and that unmistakable hum of happy people sharing comfort food late into the night. We ordered one big Classic poutine and one medium Elvis, and both were incredible. The fries were perfectly crisp under the rich gravy and fresh cheese curds that squeaked just right. The Elvis stole the show, loaded with hearty toppings and packed with flavor, definitely a must-try. To go with it, we tried the LTM Abricot, LTM Maibock, and LTM IPA. All three were excellent, but the Maibock stood out, smooth, malty, and perfectly matched to the rich poutine. Overall, La Banquise delivers exactly what it promises: unforgettable poutine, great local beers, and a fun, Montreal-style atmosphere that makes you want to linger. We’ll definitely be back.

The line outside was 30 minutes long, but it was worth the wait. Their poultine was delicious, and despite the long wait, the indoor seating area was surprisingly calm and cozy. The service was both friendly and efficient, making the overall dining experience enjoyable. In the pictures, we have a La Classic and a L’ldéfix.
There was a long line when we arrived, but it was 100% worth the wait. The poutine was loaded, crispy, and packed with flavor. Everything came out hot and fresh. I’d happily wait again!
I had the best poutine in my life here! The fries didn’t feel greasy, they had a hint of sweetness, the gravy was delicious and the curds melted perfectly. If you are visiting Montreal, this location is not to be missed. We luckily went at around 4pm so there was not much of a lineup. We had la classique and the la couvre-feu. Our favourite was la classique. Love the atmosphere and service! They are so efficient. Must visit here!
