The food here is always excellent, I do find the service lacking a little bit sometimes. Ordered food and sat at the dining area, with the expectation to sit in as it was 45mins to close. When I collected my food from the counter I was only then told that the sit in was closed, which was very disappointing as I had to eat in the car
Just called in for sausage and chips kidd meal today. Very friendly and helpful counter staff. Lovely way with her. Didn't catch her name but has an accent from down south. Thank you. Just made my day. Its the simple things that matter.
My partner and I was in tonight 11/8. We sat in. Had the Chicken Goujons and they were amazing. The staff very pleasant. Will definitely be back
Great quality food. Cracking portions. Batter was crispy and not greasy but the inside was a wee bit undercooked on the goujons and the fish but that's a small gripe and wasnt like that on previous visits. One of the best chippies about and their American fried chicken is great.
I can only comment on the chips which i called in to get a portion of. They were good. Like anywhere you can happen to call when fresh ones have been made. I watch and go into places where the que is medium. In this case 4 customers were in front of me getting stuff. All looked good. Staff were good.
Definitely the best chips I’ve had are from here, portion sizes are decent the the food is absolutely delicious, especially the garlic chilli chip and pepper chip.
Fish and chips were stellar. But the real star was the battered chicken filet burger. It shoots out the sides of the bun by three inches. It's a monument to all fried food. Try this true benchmark of taste, if your heart can take it. Just went through a face-lift mid 2023, looks great! But bring cash during July until their card readers are back online.
My husband has been here a few times over the years and raved about the fish and chips, so we drove down and both had fish and chips and have to say didn’t disappoint the food was beautiful and nice and hot and portions were very good, we had an ice cream after and we both left stuffed and happy, staff very friendly and place was nice and clean will definitely be back and well worth the 20 min drive from our home
