Came in on a weekly night and easily found a table. Tried the fish of the month (sole fish) which was lightly drizzled with sweet soy sauce and comes with kimchi mayo. If I disregard the attempt to add Asian flavours, I would say it’s a crunchy and well cooked fish. As an Asian, I would prefer the kimchi mayo to have real kimchi kick so that it can balance the greasiness. The fish my friends ordered was darker than brown (slightly burnt) but the fish itself is ok. Poutine was good, cheesy and nicely savoury. I would say this taste pretty much like the ones I had in London Service was great, the female staff attending to us (sorry didn’t catch her name) was attentive and helpful.

One of my bucket list restaurants during my Montreal visit. It’s pretty close to downtown, old school seating inside and during summers, they had nice outdoor seating. Tried the classic fish and chips, tried the cod, and ordered some tandoori fried shrimp since the Indian in me wanted to try out the Indian style shrimp in Montreal. Both dishes were truly well cooked and delicious, service was apt and quite timely. The bud light went well with the fried dishes and kept me cool during the sultry day. Overall, a nice experience.

We stopped by this fish and chip shop in Montreal because they offer gluten free battered fish, and it was such a great find. The portions were huge, two big pieces of fish, and you’d never be able to tell the gluten free one from the regular. The fries were homemade and perfectly done, and both the tartare sauce and curry sauce were spot on. It does get super busy for dinner, so we went right when they opened for lunch, which worked out perfectly. Classic fish and chips done right, with the bonus of being gluten free friendly without sacrificing taste.

OMG!!! Soooo good! We dont live nearby, but we take the time once a year (usually to celebrate my daughter's birthday!) to come and eat their fish of the month and any other one on the menu. If you like fish n' chips, there is nothing like this around. And they serve IRN BRU!!!! 100% would recommend

Listen, I've been here a few times and I've mostly enjoyed myself here, be it inside their cool looking restaurant or outside on their sunny patio. The food is good, the service is top notch and it's hard to beat their atmosphere. For this I'm giving it a 5 star review. HOWEVER if Google.ca would allow me I'd give it closer to 4.2, and that's because of how expensive this place is. I mean, this ain't gourmet food, it's proletariat food. I paid 13$ for their cod cakes, which compromises of only 5 small fish balls. First if all it's an appetiser to 5 is awfully awkward to share, 6 should be the standard number. And 13$ is just way too much. Tasty balls? Sure. Affordable balls? Nope! Anyways... Alaric recommends (just make sure to ask your employer for a raise )

Food and appetizer were so juicy and tasty. The place is cozy and cute but it is a bit noisy when it is getting crowded. Overall we loved it and will go there again for sure

Ordered trio of “morue style poulet chaud sandwich” (special of the month). Fish was tasty but there was only one small piece — really disappointing for the price $$ The sandwich was mostly two huge slices of thick bread with sauce and green peas. Fries were delicious and salad was good.

I’ve tried fish and chips in London and this place truly matched the deliciousness of what I’ve eaten in the UK. They even import sodas from there (irn bru and Ben Shaw)! Plus the view is really good and the location isn’t swarming with people. After eating peacefully, you can enter the Old Montreal area where’s there’s a lot more people. Absolutely recommend! PS: get the dandelion soda, was really good.
