I’ve been coming to Alexi’s for years—honestly close to a decade by now. I came most recently last night, and I hadn’t been in quite a while. Everything was as I remembered. The owner is extremely friendly. The food is classic Greek cafe/diner food. My friend and I ordered a gyro pita sandwich, a small Greek salad, and a chicken kabob with a side of tzatziki. Everything was awesome! The meats were seasoned and flavorful, the salad super fresh, and the tzatziki was incredibly well-crafted. This is a low-key, no-frills Greek joint in the heart of an overly gentrified area, but it holds its own and has for years. The interior isn’t going to wow you, but it will transport you back to the 90s and make you feel like you’re at home and welcome. Definitely come by and try out some of the items! The baklava is really good here as well.

Alexis Greek restaurant up town at 3863 5th avenue. My wife and wardered in one day while looking for new restaurants to try out. We ordered a Greek salad and two Gyros for lunch. The plates are prepared by two men who have been running the place for 28 years. Reservations we have never needed and I doubt they take. It is and older building that has not changed much over the years. The service is fast, the food is excellent, and the staff are usually busy but very friendly. I hate to give away this diamond in the rough but fair is fair. Everyone who wanders in like we did 8 years ago keeps coming back as we do.

Terrific restaurant with good food, great prices, and attentive service. Well-established in the neighborhood and no wait, like some of the "trending" places. Recommended.

I was drawn in by the mysterious blue lights, and I’m so glad I walked in! The owner was so sweet, and the food was delicious and really affordable. It’s amazing that they’re able to keep such great prices. Highly recommended!

Simply awesome. I felt like I was in a time machine - $7.42 for a huge gyro sandwich plate - got crispy fresh frys, friend got big hunk of salad filled with sauce n lots of tomatoes - free drink, the gyro's bread was light, cooked perfectly, the edges crispy - meat and sauce were spot on. Baklava was nice too. At $7.42 for the beautiful meal, and $ 3 for a big hunk of bazlava - great area for vintage clothes too (Buffalo Exchange across the street!).

Went there around 3:00P on a Saturday. No wait. Great service, and very good food quality. Plus the prices are amazingly reasonable. $3.80 for a bowl of Avgolemono Soup, and lunch specials under $10.00. Highly recommend. Also, the owner was friendly, did the cooking, and served the food. Highly recommend!
