Best restaurant in Ellijay by far! We went to every restaurant in town and mostly go for the atmosphere because there is really nothing special that we couldn’t make at home. Moved here from Seattle and really missing good food. Once driving by I noticed Cajun Depot Grill right outside of downtown, it’s hard to see from the road. Did not expect much and were blown away by the variety and flavors. Outstanding Cajun food and great service! Our waitress was super sweet and even gave us a little history on the place, told us about this amazing chef and his passion for Cajun food. Highly recommend! Honestly I think it’s best Cajun food I ever had.

We stopped here for dinner after a few glasses of wine at a nearby vineyard. The parking was easy and plentiful. The restaurant ambiance was appropriate with darling signs indicating their Louisiana roots. The bar was limited ,however, likely they could have made whatever we wanted and had all the basic items. Appetizer selection was good. Unfortunately, the gumbo was unexpected with tomatoes and corn; not consistent with the typical gumbo recipe. Otherwise, the servings were heaping with enough to carry some home! Service was excellent, very attentive and accomidating; what I consider great hospitality! We spent 80$ for our meal without alcoholic drinks. All in all, I would definitely go back

We came for lunch today (our first time). Gotta say - it was delicious!! Probably some of the best coleslaw I've had. The fried shrimp were perfect. My fiance' loved the crab cake sandwich. We will definitely be back!!

Highly recommend the Cajun shrimp and grits. The shrimp gumbo is a must have. Even the salad was amazing. Definitely worth the drive.

Ok, so I've lived in Ellijay my hole life and this was my first experience here and it was amazing. I had the Stuffed Catfish and WOW, I cant get over that flavor. I was with a group of 7 and not 1 person had a complaint. And from us all, thank you.

Made our way back to Cajun Depot for our 3rd trip to Ellijay. Started with a great cup of gumbo a must try here. This may sound crazy but the wings are absolutely amazing. Sharon's crab cake dinner to finish up was superb! We always make time to eat here with every visit.

We decided to drive up to Ellijay for no particular reason and googled restaurants. I have been looking for a good po-boy for ages, even being disappointed last year on a trip to New Orleans. This place is where it’s at! We got the zydeco sampler to try a little bit of everything and then a po-boy for me and crab cakes for my husband. Everything exceeded expectations. The restaurant is clean and inviting and the staff is incredibly warm and friendly. Our server, Kadence, was amazing and her coworker, whose name we didn’t get, was equally helpful and friendly. We’re happy to make the one hour drive to come here regularly now that we’ve found this little gem!

The service was excellent. Food was well prepared and served timely. The Cajun chicken sandwich was very good. Crab cakes appetizer was fantastic. Now, the tomato-collard greens…OMG. They were delicious. To finish it off we had the fried cheesecake. Wow! Perfectly prepared. Glad we found this little hidden gem. Will certainly come back.
