Had dinner here last night and it really hit the spot. Chicken Parm and Chicken Gorgonzola to satisfy the red sauce / white sauce cravings. The waitress was a doll and kept our 2 year old son Vinny entertained so we got to eat our meals for once. Highly recommend, reminds me of the old school restaurants in the North End.
You're immediately greeted with warmth and friendliness at Ava Cucina. My companion and I shared the Calamari .. crispy, tender, delicate with banana peppers and fresh Marinara sauce. Perfect! The Pinot grigio was light, fruity and refreshing. While we took home leftovers of the enormous portions of veal Parm and veal Vincenzo, we HAD to share a dessert of outstanding, DElicious Tiramisu. Our compliments to the Agostino/Woodworth family. We can't wait to come back!
The food and staff here are ALWAYS amazing!!!! And the atmosphere is lighthearted and good too. This is our favorite place to go when we celebrate or need a night out. Definitely recommend!!!!
I Came across this place while driving through this cute town. As soon as I’m entered, I was greeted by three different women. One was a customer at the bar. One came with children as well, and they came to greet me. Then, a third, approached me, and welcomed me. To me, that set the stage for such a friendly and inviting restaurant. It seems to have regular customers, and everybody knows each other and greet each other with news of their own families. The waitress was prompt to sit me in a comfortable table and asked me if I would like something to drink. I asked her questions about how the food is cooked and she was very candid with me. I really appreciate that. I ordered the pasta fagioli. It was very tasty and the fresh celery elevated it for me. The small shells were a little overcooked, and that was the only flaw of my meal. I ordered the spaghetti carbonara with sausage, and that is what’s pictured below. The sauce was delicious. The macaroni was done to perfection. Al dente. The small coins of sausage were sliced for easy eating. If I am up this way again, I would definitely stop here for some very good unassuming Italian food.
Enjoyed a wonderful dinner last night. Both of our pasta dishes were delicious, huge servings piping hot! Good Chianti as well. Never disappointed, always a warm and cozy experience.
What an unpretentious gem in the heart of Cohasset. I lived in the North End for a few years and this place reminds me of some of the restaurants there in it's heyday. Family through and through, warm atmosphere, everyone there genuinely concerned about your experience, delicious food. Will definitely be back!
Absolutely wonderful! My wife and I will be repeat customers that is for sure. Food was delicious and hot the service was very attentive. Owner Annette made us feel welcome and comfortable
This is a great hidden gem. The portions are generous yet the quality is good. They have small plates for kids. The wait staff was very attentive. Enjoy!!
