Michelangelo is a true gem! The Italian food here is absolutely delicious, from the fresh pasta to the rich, flavorful sauces. Every dish tastes authentic and is beautifully prepared. To finish, the Italian dessert we tried was amazing — full of flavor and the perfect sweet ending to the meal. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the staff makes you feel right at home with their attentive and friendly service. If you’re looking for authentic Italian flavors and a wonderful dining experience, Michelangelo is the place to go!
Great Italian spot. The pasta and appetizers were fresh and flavorful, and the service was friendly and attentive. We had a really nice dinner.
Such a special night here! Had a large 22 person dinner party here for our rehearsal dinner the day before our wedding. Antonio was amazing and super helpful throughout the whole reservation and planning process. He was even helpful with making some menu accommodations and suggestions. The bread, House salad, Pollo Marsala, Rigatoni Tre P, and Pappardelle Alla Domenica Rossa (with penne instead) were all super delicious. It was also much more economical than some of the other restaurants which wanted you to spend a certain minimum $, we could pay per person here which was great! Everybody loved the food here and we can’t wait to go back.
They have a surprising amount of really good vegan options and can make different dishes vegan.
Great restaurant if you’re looking for a Saturday brunch restaurant or a great Italian meal as they have it all on their menu. All the dishes are well presented and very flavorful. They have alfresco and indoor dining and the hosts, Giuseppe and Antonio are warm and welcoming always. They have accessible parking, which is a real plus in the Silverlake neighborhood and as a rule there is no waiting for either brunch or lunch, which is also a plus, Overall, I would rate it an excellent dining choice
It is a good option when you are craving Italian food. The ambiance has good intentions but feels slightly unfinished. Still, you will find genuinely enjoyable dishes, many of them large enough to share or take home. Overall, the flavors are well executed. This is not a fancy dining experience, but rather a restaurant that delivers a comforting, close to home approach to Italian food.
Sammy was a great waiter. I love this place. They made the best eggplant parmigiana. Everything was great here, the ambience, the food, the service and the price was not expensive at all.
We really enjoyed our meal here! Everything is reasonably priced, very fresh, and delicious. I had the fettuccine Alfredo which wasn’t heavy and it was perfect. All of the food comes out piping hot as well. The service was great, everyone was super sweet! Definitely looking forward to going again!
Having had the privilege of staying in different parts of Italy, enjoying meals made by local families with fresh ingredients from their gardens, and even working at a high-end rustic Italian restaurant near Beverly Hills in my younger years, it’s been a long time since I’ve experienced food of this quality. But here, while spending time with my beautiful wife on our date, I finally did. The mushroom soup with truffle was outstanding. I’m not usually a big fan of truffle, but here, it worked beautifully—we almost ordered an extra one to take home. Both the Risotto di Mare and Tagliatelle with Sausage and Goat Cheese were perfectly seasoned and cooked. The pasta, the sauce, the proteins—everything was spot on. This wasn’t some deconstructed, overly complex dish involving dry ice. This was food made by your best friends who just happen to be Italian and know how to cook. Though I grew up near Silverlake and have passed this building a thousand times, this was our first time dining here. The service and atmosphere were excellent, with the staff working hard to ensure everything was just right. Lots of laughter from all the tables, including ours. Even though we don’t live nearby anymore, we both agreed—this is a place worth the drive. Without a doubt, it’s now in our top five go-to restaurants. We can't wait to come back.
I swear this place has the best pizza in town, reminiscent of the great pizzas of Naples, Italy and that’s hard to beat! I also strongly recommend their fried calamari for the lightest fry dough ever. Never thick or greasy. As light as the best tempura and with a delicious warm tomato sauce to dip them into…yummmmmm!
I celebrated my birthday at Michelangelo's, and it couldn’t have been more perfect! The food was absolutely delicious and authentically Italian—a true gem for the whole family. The owner went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, which added such a warm touch to the experience. We tried the vegetarian lasagna, the pina colada, and the rigatoni in pink sauce, and let me tell you—I’m still dreaming about every bite! Whether it’s a family gathering, special occasion, or even a business meeting, Michelangelo's is the place to be. Highly recommend!
Excellent place to gather and highly recommend. The atmosphere and host were very welcoming. Beautiful decor and space to bring friends and family to. Ordered the red sangria and had a wonderful party. We had fried ravioli as appetizer. Had several vegetarian options to choose from. We tried the pumpkin squash ravioli in sage butter, vegetarian lasagna and fettuccine with red sauce. We were given homemade bread with doing sauce. Finished the meal with semifreddo and tiramisu. I live that it felt like coming home for a meal and good time. The owner used us in and out. Came by often to check to see if we needed anything. Lovely Sunday. We look forward to visiting again.
My neck of the woods! Been there a long time ago and enjoyed it. Decided to go today for a late lunch / early dinner and so glad we did: the place is very nice and warm with a home feeling. The service absolutely friendly and kind. And the food… delicious and enough to take home and eat again. Moderately priced. In short: highly recommended
I came here on a whim after walking at the reservoir craving pasta and a nice glass of wine. They have happy hour 4-6 for drinks only. The outdoor patio was lovely and the wait staff were very friendly. I sort of made my own pasta order and they were very accommodating. For a Thursday night, we didn’t wait for a table and found parking surprisingly easily given the small lot onsite. The portions were great and I found the prices to be reasonable.
My family loves Michelangelo's. I have never had a bad eating experience here over the several years we've made it our top choice restaurant in the neighborhood. Whether it's delivery or in person, top notch food and service is a cornerstone.
First time here and YOU have to go! The service we received was so amazing and we will definitely be back again. The food was even better what we had in Italy last year !! Considering the quality, the price was very reasonable. The staff is always ready to help and super friendly.
