This place has amazing food and great service. I recommend the 'tris de tortelli' dish to taste all 3 types of tortelli that they serve. I also tried Vecchia (cooked horse mest), and loved it. They can definitely improve their Tiramisu, so won't recommend it. Try some other dessert may be. Overall, a great place to unwind and have amazing food in the heart of Parma.
Our family of three stopped for dinner at this place and we absolutely loved it! All the food we ordered was amazing and very tasty, especially marinated eggplant - is to die for!!!!! Great selection of all kinds of wine, local and regional appetizers, charcuterie boards, main dishes and desserts. Cocktails and other drinks are available too. The atmosphere is nice and quiet, easy to talk. Family friendly. Service was excellent, waiters very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend this place!
Lovely restaurant with a warm ambiance and amazing food. The staff members were welcoming and accommodating. Service was a bit slow but it was understandable as it is quite busy. The ambiance is warm and romantic. Great place to enjoy with friends, family or a date. The theme is something between fine dining in a cozy kitchen. The food was delicious. Everything came fresh and packed with flavor. It makes you want to savor each bite instead of only just eating it. Overall everything was great and I would absolutely recommend this restaurant to everyone and will be returning here again.
Beautifully served, delicious food. This restaurant open even during day hours when many others are closed. We really enjoyed our lunch here
A Five-Star Gourmet Experience at Gallo d’Oro This was our second visit to Gallo d’Oro in Parma — and once again, it was a flawless, five-star experience. We returned after a memorable meal last year, and this time was just as impressive. We chose both the starter and the pasta dishes from their gourmet menu. The marinated eggplant with stracciatella and tomato confit was a creative and flavorful entrée. For the primi, we had the parmesan-filled ravioli with tryffel and the spaghetti with anchovy, tarallo crumbs, and spicy tomato — both outstanding in taste and presentation. To finish, we shared a wonderfully creamy tiramisu — so delicious that we truly wished it had been twice the size! The service was warm and efficient, the ambience elegant yet comfortable, and the pricing very reasonable: €76 for three courses, plus a dessert, coffee, and two glasses of excellent red wine. We strongly recommend Gallo d’Oro to anyone visiting Parma. It’s a place where the passion for local flavors, gourmet creativity, and great hospitality come together beautifully. A reservation is a good idea — this place fills up quickly!
An excellent restaurant, which, despite its very elegant aura, maintains a surprisingly close-to-the-customer manner. Very friendly and committed waiters and low prices complement the delicious food, which includes local specialties, led by stuffed pasta or meats (the menu includes horse dishes unique to the region in various versions). The menu is relatively short and to the point, which I consider as a sign of professionalism. I also recommend the restaurant because of its beautiful interior and amazing cellars, which take you back hundreds of years — contrary to appearances, this is not the standard in Parma restaurants.
This authentic Italian restaurant in Parma is a must-visit! The Parma ham is simply phenomenal—words can’t do it justice. Paired with excellent wine, the food here is outstanding and far better value than in Milan. Every dish was a delight, except the cappelletti in brodo, which was disappointingly flavorless. Overall, the delicious cuisine and reasonable prices make this spot a gem for food lovers exploring Parma.
Most delicious ever. We got ravioli and tortellini, torta fritta and mixed meats board. Oh and the sbrisolona with zabaione was heavenly!!!
