Good options on the menu. The tempura roll was good, their lunch menu has decent sized portions. The service was friendly and efficient. The decoar inside was frest and modern, very clean. The prices were very reasonable. $7 for a sushi roll.

Basic strip mall Japanese restaurant. The food was good and had a good flavor. Had to wait to be seated. My combo meal came with a small mixed salad that was fresh. The onion soup was okay, but I would not order it again. The steak and stir fried vegetables was very good, the steak was tender and had a well flavored. The shrimp and fried rice was okay. The shrimp was over cooked and the rice was pretty bland and had no vegetables. The waiters took your order and got the food out but were too understaffed to check back. The bathrooms need a complete remodel.

First time to try and got good salmon don and sushi

So tucked away is a nicely done restaurant. Decor and atmosphere is fantastic in its simplicity. Our server was great, friendly and attentive. The aroma from the kitchen was inviting and overall this is going very well. So our soup arrives and it is simple, comforting. Well seasoned and delicious. Shrimp and vegetable tempura is delicious. Cooked very well. The salad was very over dressed to the point is could have been a soup itself. But the dressing was great. So perhaps asking for a light dressed salad is recommended. As for the main dishes, perfect. Presentation, flavor and cook. Just flawless.

Sapporo’s has quickly become a weekly favorite for my wife and I. The atmosphere is clean and inviting, the staff is friendly and courteous and the sushi, delicious! Not to mention crazy affordable. I’ve had the chance to have lunch there a few times during the week and we’ve always been seated and waited on quickly. If your plans are for a Friday dinner out you may want to show up a little earlier if you don’t want to wait for a table, if you do have a wait it’s generally not long and we’ll worth the 10 or 15min wait. In my opinion Sopporos has to be the nicest restaurant in Mayfield. It’s great to see establishments like this finally make their way to our sleepy little town. If I could have given them 6 stars I would have. Seriously, fresh sushi in Mayfield KY, what’s not to like about that?

We drove up to Mayfield yesterday for a late lunch after finding Sapporo online. I’m glad we did because this place was excellent. The soup was great. The salad was okay, we aren’t huge on ginger. The entrees were fantastic. I got the steak and chicken, the wife got the chicken and shrimp. You get a huge portion plus rice and vegetables. We ate as much as would and still had a half plate of food each to take home. The prices are extremely fair for the amount of food you get plus the quality of it. Our food came out hot and fresh. Plus you get to enjoy hibachi without sitting with strangers. We’ll definitely be driving from Murray to go back there often.

Food is always fresh & delicious. The sushi is the BEST we've had. This restaurant's food would compete with ANY in larger cities and is the best in Western Ky, HANDS DOWN! Atmosphere isn't fine dining or white tablecloths, but who cares when the food is this good!

Best sushi in Western Kentucky. Excellent quality and delicious rolls. Of all the places I've tried in Paducah and Murray, Sapporo in Mayfield is hands down the best. I would highly recommend it. They also have hibachi for those who aren't big sushi fans. Update June 2022: Still our absolute favorite restaurant in Mayfield and hands down the best sushi in the area. I would definitely recommend the vegetable yaki soba for those who don't like sushi.
