This was next door to our accommodation and it was our first time trying. The gamjatang turned out to be very tasty, no wonder there's always a long queue but the queue moves very fast. We also ordered the dried pollack hangover soup which was tasty.
Great pork bone soup! A little different than what is served at Korean restaurants in Canada. We got there around 715 pm on a Sunday and there were 7 groups waiting in front of us. The line moves pretty quick and we got in around 745. Their specialty seems to be pork bone. We ordered the medium for 3 people and was satisfied with the portions but not extremely full.
Cofy food after drinks, love the spicy Kimchi soup, soooo good. The signature pork bone soup is plain for me, other dish also quite nice.
Chanced upon this place for a late dinner and was definitely pleased with this hidden gem. We ordered the pork backbone stew. Staff were friendly and patient despite the language barrier. Noticed mostly locals dining here.
We were recommended to this restaurant by our airbnb host. The pork bone soup was very nice and this place seems to be a local favourite judging by the queue everyday when we walk past it
This has been one of my favorite places for a long time. I do not visit as often these days since there is usually a line, but the food is absolutely worth the wait. When two people go, ordering two portions of pork belly or pork shoulder and one portion of the potato stew to share works perfectly. The staff can be a bit busy, yet they always try their best, and the service feels sincere. Both the grilled meat and the potato stew taste great. There are many special restaurants in Gwanghwamun, but if you are in the mood for Korean food, I highly recommend this place.
My friend took me here for dinner, we had the pork rib soup which was super delicious, it was a big portion too. The place is really popular with locals, we were there at 6pm and it filled up quickly.
Famous local restaurant for Gamja-tang or Korean pork back-bone stew in hotpot style. Decent taste, very refreshing on the rainy day. Staff is friendly and attentive. The place is quite crowded with the locals and tourists so spare 15 minutes for queue-up. Price is valuable. Large portion.
