Cosy. Like a small home town restaurant in Korea. Food was delicious. Warmed our souls. Even the kids commented on how delicious the meal was. The noodles in the chicken soup was deliciously chewy. The Gom Tang (Beef bone soup) was heartwarming. The seafood pancake was crispy and delicious. The fried chicken was crispy, juicy and not too salty. We will definitely be back for more!

My husband and I went there for dinner last week based on the reviews. Oh boy! The moment we walked in, the couples smile made us feel so welcoming. It has a homie vibe and after a long day that’s exactly the place you are looking for. We have ordered tofu stew, beef stew, fried chicken and seafood pancake. The stew has a very umami flavour and just won my heart straight away. Pancake was the best so far- doesn’t feel like it has oil in it. So GOOD! Fried chicken was also very good. This has become our new favourite restaurant. We just loved our time there. Very humble couple- looking at their faces gave us a very good calming feeling. Thank you to the owners Forgot to take photos of pancake and fried chicken.

On Wednesday, I visited Halmae Gomtang with my younger brother and mum, and we enjoyed gomtang, sundae guk, and bibimbap. All three dishes were delicious and served in generous portions, leaving our entire family extremely satisfied. The owner and the head chef were friendly and took the time to explain the dishes to us. Both the gomtang and sundae guk featured a rich, well-extracted broth with plenty of ingredients, ensuring satisfaction in both flavour and quantity. I was particularly impressed with the bibimbap, which came with a generous variety of seasoned vegetables. I loved the experience so much that I plan to revisit soon.

A very homey style Korean restaurant in west Ryde, alongside Victoria street (not far from the coles express/ Maccus ) The waitress has very limited English, so we pretty much point on the menu AB’s tell her what we wanted. We ordered large beef soup and sweet chill fried chicken ( with sauce on the side. ) The beef soup was nice and homey, definitely no MSG, it is slightly plain if you are looking for something more flavoursome. But it is something I would be able to have very often, especially in winter. The fried chicken was crispy however I think it was too heavily battered, and there was very strong cooking wine flavour in the sauce. Not quite what we were expecting. The side dishes, especially kimchi was sooooo good, we asked for refill and the staff was very nice and refilled us . Overall experience was great, it was not busy on Friday night, and it seems the customers were the regulars, there was a old couple who seems go be the owner were friendly as well. Menu is fairly simple, Would probably come back from other soup.

If you are looking for good traditional korean food this is the place. I haven’t tried the fried chicken but the soups are great and taste like the food I would have at home. The portion size for the spicy beef soup was massive and the food has little to no msg. Personally, I prefer less msg as I feel like all korean restaurants nowadays tend to make their food too sweet. The side dishes complemented the hotness of the soup very well. These soups would also make for perfect hang over food, so if you’re looking for some place to eat after a long night, this food will fix you up.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently visited this hidden gem of a Korean restaurant in West Ryde, and I must say, it’s hands down the most authentic Korean dining experience I've had in Sydney! The restaurant is family-run, and you can really feel the warmth and care they put into every dish. It instantly transported me back to Korea. The flavors were incredibly traditional, and the food felt homemade in the best way possible. The side dishes (banchan) were out of this world! I seriously wish I could learn their recipes – they were so fresh and packed with flavor. If you're looking for a real taste of Korea, this is the place to go. I’ll definitely be back soon! Highly recommend for anyone craving genuine Korean cuisine.

very homely dishes - pollack hangover soup very tasty, healthy tasting and just the right balance of seasoning. The sweet and spicy boneless fried chicken had a very crunchy batter and fired perfectly. Side dishes were great too - esp the kimchi. Reasonable prices ~$20 per dish. Variety - soups, bibimbap, meats, hot pots, fried chicken. Great meal - Will def be back!
