Truly authentic and delicious! The portions are generous, the prices are fair, and the bibimbap and kimbap taste so fresh and healthy! Definitely be coming back often.
Prices are pretty good considering campus prices. Gimbap is delicious and portion size is good, $7 for an entire roll. I really like the tuna mayo gimbad but their topokki is pretty good. Sometimes the restaurant can smell fishy and seating is not great, but it's a go to for take out.
I ordered original kimbap, tuna kimbap, and spicy pork kimbap, and they were all really delicious. They taste just like the kimbap I used to eat in Korea. I’m so glad we finally have a restaurant in Champaign that serves such good Korean food!
We tried tteokbokki, gimbap, and dumplings, and everything was absolutely delicious. The food was clean and well-prepared, and the staff were incredibly friendly. The place itself was very clean with a nice, comfortable atmosphere. Overall, a great experience — highly recommend!
Tasty food wrapped up with convenience and value. You don’t want to miss out on J6 Kimbap. We got the bulgogi kimbap, tuna mayo kimbap, original kimbap, original topokki, and fish cake soup. Everything was made to perfection. If you want authentic Korean corner shop food, come here. This is a mom and pop run store. The owners are nice and hospitable. The food comes out fast. It goes down fast cuz IT’S THAT GOOD!
Every ingredient tasted super fresh and was packed nicely, so each bite was full of flavor. The seasoning was spot on, not too salty, not too bland, which made it really easy to enjoy until the very last piece. The packaging was clean and tidy, and the rolls held their shape really well. Honestly, it looked just as good as it tasted!!!!!
Kimbap is great! Lots of filling and I heard that the other flavors are really good too. Only thing was that the chicken inside the Kimbap was cold. I was also a little disappointed with the fish cake soup as the fish cake was pretty bland. The broth itself was alright but I wouldn’t buy it again. Would definitely come back to try the other Kimbap though! Teriyaki Chicken Mayo Kimbap - $7.50 Fish cake soup - $4.50
I went with some friends and we ordered tuna kimbap, spicy buldak kimbap, rose tteokbokki and fish cake skewers. Every single dish was top-notch. No misses at all. As a Korean who's been living in the US for 10+ years, I'm always craving real Korean food. Until now, I've been disappointed with places that use too much rice and inconsistent fillings (or poor-quality ingredients, which is the norm, unfortunately). But this place nailed it. The portions were generous, the balance of flavors was perfect. Everything tasted just right. The rose tteokbokki was creamy with just the right level of spice, and the rice cakes were cooked perfectly. The fish cake soup tasted exactly like the ones from Korean street food stalls back home. It brought me right back to Korea. What's even more impressive than the taste is the value. It really is such high quality food for such a reasonable price! The owner and staff were also incredibly kind and welcoming. If you're someone who misses true Korean flavors, or if you want to experience AUTHENTIC Korean food, you absolutely have to visit this place. Protip: I actually went back the next day. The owner remembered me and she kindly let me order a new menu item that's still in development(?). ...I won't spoil it, but if you ever see a dish with the word "shrimp" on their menu, do yourself a favor and order it ASAP.
