Apparently this is a very popular Korean restaurant. We had to wait for a while for seats. Lots of Koreans are having meals here so it did look like an authentic Korean restaurant. The menu is only two pages, very limited selections but things are all looking delicious (except the beef soup we had). Side dishes were awesome and we loved the big pig trotter platter. Portion size was great and we took a lot home. Some of the servers weren’t as great and kept forgetting things. Our tea ran out for a while and no one came to top it up. We told one server about it but nothing changed. We told the second one and finally got extra tea. Really hope they can improve on this.
Undoubtedly, this is the best Korean restaurant in Chantilly. Their Korean dishes are consistently prepared with a traditional and authentic taste, which my family and I have enjoyed several times. We highly recommend their Bone Cabbage Soup, Pork Neck Bone Soup, and Bo Yang Tang, as they are all delicious.
Best hidden gem for hearty soups that tasted like mom’s home cooked meal. Authentic Korean taste. 9/10 always packed with locals dining in. My favorite is gamja tang (pork neck bone soup) & somory gukbap (beef cheek bone). Big portions, worth it for the price. Service is always friendly.
We were really craving Korean soup and this place was on the list. It’s located near the industrial area so I was surprised it was tucked away in a non restaurant area. The ambiance was nothing spectacular. There aren’t too many seats, however, food comes fairly quick. The service was great. They refilled water often and were very friendly. We ordered Seolleong Tang for the kids which they really enjoyed. Lots of protein and the soup was flavorful. We ordered the Gamja Tang and Budae Jjigae. The Gamja Tang which had a lot of big bones with lots of meat. The Budae had tons of flavor in the broth. The food here is amazing! While there aren’t many things on the menu, everything they made was tasty and made right. I highly recommend this place if you’re craving for soup.
A Familiar Taste That Never Changes. It had been about a year since my last visit to Kohyang Jip, and nothing much has changed — the same small dining space, the worn-out interior, and a modest selection of Korean dishes. But there's something comforting about that consistency. This time, I tried the nakji (octopus) dish for the first time. The seasoning wasn’t overpowering, but it had depth — just the kind of flavor that makes you want another bite of rice. The food here always hits a solid middle ground — nothing flashy, but always reliable and satisfying. Thank you, Kohyang Jip. I’ll be back again.
This place serves one of the best jokbal (braised pig’s feet) I’ve ever had! The meat was tender and flavorful, and it paired perfectly with fresh lettuce wraps and spicy radish salad. The nakji dolsot (octopus hot stone pot) was my absolute favorite — so full of flavor and heat! Everything went perfectly with a cold glass of makgeolli. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic Korean comfort food! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Taste is great Quality and quantity are perfect Inexpensive! I would like to strongly recommend if you like Korean traditional pork or beef bone foods and soups.
The food was delicious!! Being a big fan of Korean cuisine this was worth the trip to Virginia!! My wife and I think it’s one of the best in our area.
