This Korean restaurant survived COVID. They serve a special $25 set that is full of many dishes. They are all so tasty. Good traditional taste. Their area is down at the end of Robson St. Give it a try and you will be amazed.
1 of top 3 korean fried chicken places in Vancouver (yangnyeom and honey soy). It’s the perfect place for it if you love the crunchy chewy texture, and the sauces are seasoned perfectly. Kimbab, Budae Jjigae and Kimchi Jjigae are yums. Overall their food is amazing, except for the lunch set, in our opinion it doesn’t have too much variety compared to other place.
They were able to accommodate us as a large group. Servers were friendly and helpful. They described the portions and ingredients of each dish we chose. Food was delicious and portions were really good. It reflects on the prices too. They're fair. The seating is spacious which is great! I believe the ventilation was not working properly so the kitchen smell crept towards the dining area. I'd recommend this restaurant for a good Korean meal.
Clean environment. We ordered the lunch set which includes a big variety of appetizer size dishes. Overall the food quality is good except a number of dishes are a bit too sweet and salty. The lunch service seems to be a bit too fast as we need to eat fast so the coming dishes are not cooling down on the table. The entire lunch is about an hour.
Tried the lunch special on a Saturday morning and enjoyed the variety of dishes that made with fresh ingredients. The service was attentive, just a bit waiting on the items as the kitchen was busy with both dine-in and take-out orders. Overall a great experience and will definitely come back for other dishes.
Excellent experience we had here at this restaurant. Tasty food and good portion size. Service was quite decent as well. We especially appreciated the taste of Korean style sausage. Also the broth of army stew was rich. Parking is available behind the building for $3 an hour. We will return soon to try their other dishes. Overall, this is a pretty nice Korean restaurant to try if you are in the area.
Wow! The fried chicken was incredible. We had the soy garlic fried chicken and the spicy one. Forgot the name. Juicy. Tender crispy skin. Super flavorful saucing. Mushroom beef hotpot was deep and earthy with beautiful vermicelli noodles. I can’t wait to go back. The staff was so nice. Our waiter helped our group of five order fun dishes and the right amount of food.
Came to try their new menu and currently they have a 20% off on select items. I really like the variety of choices and chose the set menu for the cold noodles plus la galbi to try! The place is spacious and good for big and small parties and there is ac!
The restaurant is known for its authentic Korean cuisine, which is prepared with the freshest ingredients and cooked to perfection. The dishes are bursting with flavor and have a unique blend of spices that will tantalize your taste buds. From traditional Korean BBQ to savory stews and soups, there is something for everyone on the menu. In addition to the delicious food, the service at Kosoo is excellent. The staff is friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, providing an exceptional dining experience for guests. However, as the restaurant is quite popular, it is recommended to make a reservation in advance to avoid any disappointment. Overall, Kosoo Korean restaurant is an excellent choice for those who love Korean cuisine and are looking for a high-quality dining experience. The food is exceptional, the service is top-notch, and the atmosphere is lively and enjoyable. It's a must-try for anyone visiting Vancouver, Canada.
Boiled beef centre heel of shank-Sous vide beef was so tender and yummy despite its low fat content while the beef broth was milky and savoury. Brisket doenjang(korean soybean paste sauce) & vegetable wrap rice This was good balance between veggies & carb & meet. It was so tasty, and it was my favourite. Korean spicy cold noodles were flavourful and delectable. The accompanying korean beef rib was so tender. The server was so nice and kind. I really appreciated it. I would love to come back.
everything we ate was seriously so good. can’t wait to go back. edit Oct 2025: i had their mala cream chicken, and it is so good it haunts me. i typically have a very high spice tolerance, but they reduced it by about 20% and it was perfect. i hope they keep this on the menu!
Had a great experience here, the beef brisket skillet was amazing, fried chicken was crispy and crunchy, yet sauced and flavourful, the miso soup was refreshing, and the beef gimbap was great value. Rose tteokbokki was good, subtle flavour with a lot of cheese. Improvements I'd suggest would be how the fried chicken shell was a little thick, sides could've been presented in bigger dishes for less refills, and the gimbap didn't taste the most fresh, though it was still good.
We enjoy our dining experience here at Kosoo! The staff is very attentive, and she recommends us a good amount of food for our group of guests. We enjoyed the kimchi deokbap so much, it’s very good!! And the jokbal is so tasty overall the food is 10/10!!!
