Enjoyed a very delicious and nutritious lunch. The restaurant has a stylish, hip atmosphere, cool music playing and plants everywhere. Lots of Vegetarian options, we eat meat but like lots of veggies too. Nice cocktails too! Highly recommended.
Food: I got the lamb kafta. It was a little under seasoned but the sauce made up for it. Wasn't mind blowing but it was okay. Small portion, 2 pieces, I don't think I'd order it again. The red pepper appetizer wasn't that special either. It was sweet, not enough salt and the bread was a little stale. Overall wasn't that satisfied with my meal. I would wanna try the chicken shawarma next time. Service: nice waiters Atmosphere: relatively quiet, real candles and pretty good vibes.
Thank you for your consistent quality of food and services over the past 20+ years. I don't go downtown much since retirement and there's a lot more competition of excellent vegan/vegetarian healthy cuisine in the area, but I still love dining at your Gastown location. Nice selection. Wonderful flavours. A nice spot to spend an evening. Keep up the good work!
I had the best meal of my life at Nuba! I ordered the Garden Falafel, which was absolutely incredible – crispy, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. I also tried the Karkade (iced hibiscus tea with lemon & agave) and the house-made Ginger Beer, and both were refreshing and delicious. On top of the amazing food and drinks, the service was impeccable – attentive, kind, and genuinely welcoming. Nuba is a true gem in Vancouver, and I can’t wait to come back!
Nuba has a beautiful atmosphere and the service was excellent. However, the food itself was just alright not bad, but not as flavorful as I expected. I also didn’t enjoy the dessert. Overall, it’s a nice spot, but the food could be better.
My boss treated me to lunch at Nuba in Gastown today. When I saw it was downstairs, I was initially worried it might be damp or smelly, but I was totally wrong! As soon as we stepped in, we were greeted by a bustling atmosphere and that amazing, unique Mediterranean aroma. I ordered the lamb kofta and hummus—both were delicious! The variety of sauces on the side really leveled up the flavor. My only minor wish would be for the bread to be served hot and fresh. Overall, a great experience. Highly recommended!
Food was amazing! It was so yummy! I felt a bit out of my element here, but the food was good, so I can not complain. Prices are fair. Would recommend, but wouldn't go again.
Overall - 4.5/5 Ordered garden falafel (comes with pita & hummus) and go green juice. Go green was quite refreshing and falafel were really good.
We stumbled upon this place by chance and decided to give it a try. The decor and atmosphere were great, definitely a pleasant and inviting space . We ordered the Grilled Sampler Platter for two ($60), but unfortunately, it didn’t quite meet our expectations. The grilled chicken had a strong burnt, bitter taste that overpowered everything else. On the positive side, the lamb, shrimp, and broccoli were well-cooked and enjoyable. However, considering the portion size and the price, we felt it didn’t offer good value overall
The food is delicious, however $16 for hummus is kinda crazy. There is no clean vegan protein, only classic fat deep fried falafels or hummus. It would be great if they had more vegetarian or vegan option with good quality proteins. Service is great!
Beautiful place, shared the steak platter and the falafel platter with my wife—celiac safe and delicious! Also, the fresh squeezed juice is BOMB. Need to come back to try the cocktails.
Absolutely yes. Incredible, nourishing food, generous portions, and a comfortable atmosphere. I love expecting a nice time and leaving even more thoroughly impressed. 10/10 would live here if they’d let me. Will be hyperfixating on grilled olives, dips, and pickled things for the foreseeable future.
Our experience was so amazing!! We came for our birthday lunch and the food was delicious. We go the lunch plates Lamb Kafta, Lamb Shawarma, Chicken Shish Tawook, Najib Special. Our server gave us the crème brûlée & the tiramisu for our birthday! They were also training a set of new servers all of whom were doing a good job. Very happy with our decision to come to Nuba for our bday lunch!
