A favorite spot of ours for their vegan friendly vegetable fajitas and HUGE portions! The service is always fantastic - promptly, friendly, and knowledgeable, and the atmosphere is lively but not too loud. Definitely a place we will continue to come back to and recommend to others!

Best Mexican food in Medford! We love this place for a lot of reasons, but I’ll start with their kids menu. They offer $7 kids meals all week long but on Sundays - kids eat half price!! You’ll find lots of families with kids enjoying the half price kids menu. It’s a pretty venue with lots of colorful murals. They have 3 large dining room sections, plus a bar, and an outside patio area for dining. The staff is always friendly with great service. The food is consistently great. This is the only place that has queso (cheese dip) as an appetizer. Chips and queso were staples of eating at a Mexican restaurant on the east coast (where we’re from), and we struggled to find it in southern Oregon. If you’re in that boat- this is your place!! The servings are enormous. You’ll be taking home leftovers for sure. We didn’t order drinks, but they were popular at all the other tables around us. The chips and salsa are always good, but at the end of the meal they bring these amazing cinnamon sugar chips with whipped cream. I don’t know what they’re called, but we look forward to them every time. Their prices are good, especially with the huge serving sizes. They offer a wide variety of choices including vegetarian options. There are other locations with the same name, but the N. Phoenix Rd location is hands down the best one.

Several good friends took me out to celebrate Veterans Day. Knowing how much I love good Mexican food, they brought me to the El Molcajete off of Phoenix and McAndrew. Of course they brought out the chips and mild salsa. I asked if they had any habanero salsa, the waiter grinned a knowing grin and brought me my own bowl. It was hot and flavorful. I've eaten at several Mexican restaurants throughout the Rogue Valley, none of them came even close to this place. I ordered a dark beer (xx) and beef taco along with a cheese tamale. As it is in every Mexican restaurant there was also refried beans and Spanish rice. I asked around the table and no one was brave enough, or maybe crazy enough, to take any of the habanero sauce so I poured the whole bowl on my food. I chowed down. If it wasn't frowned upon, I'd have licked the plate clean, that's how good the food was. When the bill came the other three at the table wouldn't let me give them money for my portion of the dinner, however, the cost according to the menu was very reasonable, especially given the amount of food on my plate. The people working there seemed like they genuinely enjoyed working there and they wanted us to enjoy being there. I can't say that about some of the Mexican restaurants I've eaten at. The next booth over was someone's birthday and they brought out the oversized sombrero and sang something in Spanish, which I'm sad to say I could no longer understand, 40+ years without hearing or speaking it will do that to you, but then they sang a rendition of Happy Birthday to You and asked the whole restaurant to join them, which a significant number did. Everyone seemed to enjoy it except for the birthday person. I know I did. When we left I was so full, but a happy full. It is now my favorite restaurant. If you make it there, you won't regret it except the overeating part. Bon appetit

I went in for lunch on a weekday, very good selection of lunches for $12.95. Chips with bean & cheese dip, salsa too. Lunch came and went and was followed by cute lil dessert.

Usual family Mexican fare with colorful booth seating, red and green salsa, unlimited tortilla chips, and huge portions to put you out of commission for 24 hours. Service was slow, but we didn’t mind because it was boy’s night and we needed time to sip our drinks. The food is what you expect. Pretty good and stacked high, but not special enough to add a third paragraph to this review.

I have only been here for lunch, but every visit has been a good experience. The lunch menu is very reasonably priced and offers great value for the quality of food you get. Everything tastes fresh, including the chips that come out before the meal, which is always a good sign. Every dish I have ordered has met or exceeded my expectations and always comes out to my table fast. The service has consistently been good and the atmosphere is lively without feeling overwhelming. It also looks like they are in the process of renovating or remodeling parts of the restaurant, which is nice to see and shows they are investing in the space. Overall, this is a solid spot for lunch and I would definitely recommend it.

Absolutely my favorite Mexican restaurant. There are now three around the valley and all of them are great places to eat lunch and dinner. The arroz con Pollo is the best I've had anywhere. Service is always very good. The vibrant decor brightens up the space making it feel sunny outside any day or night.
