What an extraordinary dinner I enjoyed! I started with the watermelon cocktail with mezcal, then the octopus taco. That octopus is lightly fried and melted in my mouth! Then the simply named Green Salad. Full of green apples, shrimp, grapes (cut in half! No chasing them!) pickled beets and more! With a wonderful vinaigrette dressing. Absolutely scrumptious! And the service was also top notch! Not a thing other than 5 star all the way! I can’t wait to try breakfast there now! See you soon at Kahlos!
We had Quesabirria, bbq chicken and a brisket pizza. All were very delicious and the pizza was deemed the best pizza my wife’s ever had (but I was sad because I make homemade pizza at home ). Marco was our host and made us feel immediately welcome by memorizing our names (but forgetting mine. Ha!) A great meal, great staff, well done all around but nothing overcooked:)
We had the best experience at Khalo in Sayulita! We came with our three girls and their grandparents, and it was such a welcoming, relaxed spot for a multi-generation dinner. The food was incredible — hands down the best shrimp taco we had in Sayulita. Fresh, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. The atmosphere was lively but still comfortable for kids and grandparents alike, and the staff were kind and attentive. Everyone left happy and full, which says a lot when you’re dining with a big family. We’ll absolutely be back — Khalo is a must-visit.
We saw the pizzas during our walks in town and knew we had to give it a shot. Turned out to be my favourite place. We saw several locals dinning there that we recognised from our time in town. We live in a big city with pretty decent pizza game so quite impressed to find this quality of pizza in Sayulita. If you stick to the pizzas it’s very reasonable. We all had mixed drinks and skipped desert to try the home made ice cream across the street. I probably would come back to 3 or 4 places next visit and this will be on the top of my list. Kahlo Restaurant offers extremely high-quality food, though prices are definitely on the high end. Easily some of the best tacos you’ll ever have, standouts were the pork belly, brisket, and the catch of the day. Absolutely worth dedicating one dinner here during your vacation. The service staff was warm, inviting, and welcoming. Inside felt a bit stuffy, but the drinks were excellent a very well crafted, pricey, and totally worth it. Also no wait.
Our new favorite resturant in Sayulita. The staff are very friendly, funny and attentive. The Tuna Tostada is a must try and the Shrimp & Jalapeño pizza was perfection. We will be back!
Had the Margarita Kahlo and burrata salad — both were delicious. The flavours of the salad were incredible, especially with the sourdough and a great house drink! It was a generous portion, definitely enough for a full meal. The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is the service. The host was lovely — warm and welcoming — but the table service felt minimal. There was no check-in after the food arrived, and I didn’t get a chance to ask a question about the dish. I still tipped 15%, but sensed some disappointment, which didn’t feel very professional. I’d gladly return for the food — it was outstanding — but the service could be more professional.
