Surprisingly quiet when we came here on a Sunday night. But the sopes, tacos, & margaritas made for an incredible last night in Playa del Carmen. Service is phenomenal. This is a definite not to miss place when you're visiting Playa del Carmen!
Very affordable drinks! Tacos were amazing. Love the service too.
Surprisingly good food and cheap drinks (beers at least). I thought they’d be more money being on the main drag but this place was like $2 beers. Food was good. Service was quick. Music is bumpin. Not a bad option at all. I got the tacos and they’re all good. Fish was a little rare but I’m still alive weeks later. Also open late.
We stopped in for a few beer and nachos, wonderful service from a very friendly man, and some extra hot habanero sauce. We were here 4 years ago and it’s still a hidden gem.
I come to Muy Salsa for one thing: the mar y tierra molcajete. Nothing else matters. It’s a heavy, no-nonsense mix of chorizo, arrachera, chicken, shrimp, nopal, grilled spring onions, blocks of cheese, beans at the bottom, and a full stack of fresh tortillas. House salsas on the side. Easily enough for two people without ordering anything else. Portion is serious, flavor is strong, and it arrives bubbling hot. Price (~440 pesos) is fair for the size and variety. Drinks come cold: classic beers, aguas frescas, margaritas if you want something sweet. I usually grab a beer or a jamaica and keep it simple. Straightforward place with reliable execution. If you want a molcajete that legitimately feeds two adults, this is where to get it.
What a delightful, memorable and delicious dinner! Daniel and Garrido (I hope I’ve got that correct, apologies if not!) were so kind and welcoming and really provided excellent service to my girlfriends and I. The food was prompt, delicious, well-presented and really hit the spot! We had two-for-one margaritas and will be back tomorrow for live music! Definitely check Muy Salsa out if you’re in Playa - it’s ranked at the top of our list for sure. Thank you again for a great evening!
Great spot. Marco is a great host. Tacos el pastor were amazing. Prices fantastic and atmosphere was great. Highly recommend.
Delicious food, great drinks (passion fruit margarita <3) and top of the top - the best vegetarian burito I've eaten in Mexico!
