Good buffet and very close to Chichen Itza.Nice place to visit for a bite to eat after a day of visiting Chichen Itza. The buffet offers a lot of options and is very clean. Staff is friendly, and service was very good. Drinks aren't included, but they are reasonable in price.
This place is beautiful inside. The buffet was good. The servers did a dance. Everyone was very nice. Our meal was included in the Chi Chen Itza package we bought coming into Piste. It was much appreciated after a long day of walking.
We stopped here on our way to Chichen Itza with a tour group. I liked the vibe there, it is a cool one stop shop, but make sure you have Pesos or else you are paying a conversion tax. The food at the restaurant was delicious and very authentic in flavor. It was well prepared and the produce was clean. The bathrooms were well kept, but again, it is Mexico so you cannot flush paper. If you are out exploring it is a safe place and has features for adults and kids. According to our tour guide, all the goods are authentic thus causing their price to be higher. But the prices were not bad.
Visited this restaurant as part of the Thomas Moore Chichen Itza tour. We had access to the buffet as part of our fee, and they provided horchata. All other drinks had to be purchased separately. The buffet is served to you, more like a cafeteria. There is both a Mexican station and an international station. The Mexican food was so good I didn't even bother with the international. I had some of everything and wished I had room to eat more. Separate from the food station was a taco fixing table which was self-serve. If you can handle the heat, the green salsa made with habaneros was so delicious. Highly recommend. Another station served desserts. I had the bread pudding and sweetened papaya. Again delicious. The restaurant is at the back of a long line of tourist shops. I'm not sure if there is a more direct entry but they took us through all the shops to get to the restaurant. There is a clean bathroom on site.
Good stop on the tour to the ruins, we had lunch buffet and shopped for souvenirs. Everyone was nice and friendly and there was a large selection of items to buy. Buffet was extremely basic.
Pueblo Maya is a unique restaurant & craft markets located just minutes from Chichen Itza. Pueblo Maya offers something for everyone. On our trip back from the Mayan Ruin, we stop there for lunch. The food was not the best but I understand the company most likely tried to keep it cheap. The spicy Verde sauce and fresh salsa and corn chip were delicious. The rice wine was unique and it had a great taste. The performance was great and the landscape was beautiful. I had a fresh coconut. The souvenirs were beautifully crafted. I would definitely return as a regular customer to get a better experience. Must-visit.
Memorable experience and food. We visited as part of a tour and I can understand why they stop here. The food is so delicious and flavorful. I am craving it now. We spent more than we should’ve in the gift shop but everything is so beautiful and made by Mayan people. I’ll have to visit again next time I’m in Cancun.
I visited here for lunch on a bus trip. The food was delicious and it was fascinating to see the young folks dancing and I learned a little bit about the Mayans culture. One of my favorite to eat is the Tamales.
Mind blowing Mayan food. The flavors were so deep and rich. Each bite was a delight. Picco de gallo, spicy salsa & tortilla chips were great. Scrambled eggs with Chaya leaves had a very nice distinctive flavor. Pollo Pibil (Chicken) was amazing. Flavor was very close to Indian or Caribbean curry. Chilaquiles was Chicken lime soup was one of the best soups I had so far. It was very light and had a kick of lime. Cieba artisan cerveza was great.
Unbelievable. We stopped here on our way back from visiting the ruins. The food was fantastic. The Pico de gailo was to die for. Sooo good. The shops on site were fantastic. Such a variety to choose from. The mid meal entertainment was so good! Non stop amazing from start to finish
We got our discount coupon while driving out from chichen itza ruins, so the price per person was 200 pesos instead of 280. Good value for money. 3 types of meat, rice, veggies, tortilla based dishes, fruits and some very basic desserts.l plus coffee. They have a playground and shallow pools which kept our kid busy. Food quality was 4,0, but the unlimited buffet for a sightseeing exhausted family was perfect.
Very good restaurant. Authentic Mayan food buffet with an International food table also. The famous Cochinita Pibil is well displayed in its banana leaves and taste incredible. Traditional Chicken dish is very good too. Mini tamales are unique. Great service, our waiter spoke 5 languages including Mayan. Food served by Mayans in traditional clothing. Mexico at its finest.
Our charted tour van driver brought us here. I realize he probably has a sweetheart deal with this restaurant for bringing us here. But as long as the food is decent and priced right, why not? The place did not disappoint. The place is large with ample seating. It was relatively empty when we went in. But it filled up soon enough as tour bus loads of people started pouring in after us. The food was decent and there was variety. A trio of local ladies in traditional dresses also put on a dance show, which I thought was memorable and nice.
