Restaurante Gorditas Gabino

I had to try Durango's famous gorditas before I left, so I stopped in here around 5pm on a weekday. The service is pretty quick and the dining room was filled, so you know its a great place to eat. I ordered three gorditas; chicken & cheese, chile relleño & chicharron. You could eat the first two with your hands but the chicharron was almost soupy and falls apart, so you need a fork/knife. They're pretty delicious and also come with a great verde salsa on the side. I'd recommend this place if you're looking to try them.

Very nice restaurant. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. Not the first time I have been here. The gorditas are always a good choice. I had the Mole Dulce and it was great. Will be back again when I am in town.

The food was delicious, we visited many years ago and the food is still great. chilaquiles de chile poblano were a hit!

We went during the holidays and the wait time was reasonable. We had a large party and they brought out the food so quickly. I had the mole and it was delicious! My family also loved their food. The servers were kind and fast. Will always come back!

The atmosphere is nice and it is in a nice part of the city. So if you're doing the touristic things you're located very close to everything.

I was shocked by menu choices way more than gorditas, apple salad: excellent, chiles rellenos, excellent, beef steak excellent and many other entrees excelentes, service spotless. This is now our point of family reunions.

Delicious and large selection of breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food is extremely flavorful and very fresh. Large serving size of ChilaquilesVerde, wonderful! Hubby loved steak dinner, so tender and fresh! They are able to make substitutions, as hubby does not like spice.. Tortilla chips fried in-house with home-made salsas & pico de gallo ...Delish! Beautiful and historic bldg. Customer service, wait-staff very attentive, and greeted by owner. Pastries baked in-house. Best cheese-cake & fresh "pan dulce" I have ever had! Easy handicap access. You must try!

Try the mole here, it’s very different from traditional Mexican mole. Sweet, salty, and bursting with flavor, you won’t regret anything you eat here. I also ate the platillo centauro with beef liver, hits the spot like nothing else.

Make this your #1, we had an excellent lunch, caldo de res, asadas, shrimp salad. Quite lucky not knowing a word of spanish. Hugo, our waiter was quite patient and helpful getting to our choices. Would definitely go back.

Great service, variety of food. Nice elegant place, not very expensive. Midrange on prices. Defenetly recommended
